Customer Review: I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I felt like this product deserved one. This is an excellent cold brew maker. It is very easy to use and has a great 1,200 mL capacity. The plastic construction is more versatile (less fragile) than other brewers made from glass. The filtration system eliminates the sludge that other brew systems leave. The packaging is very thoughtful – a scoop and sponge are included. The scoop is easily overlooked, but it is the perfect size to clean the used grounds out of the filter. The sponge is an unexpectedly useful form factor to help with cleaning. Hopefully the sponges can be ordered separately, since sponges don’t last forever.Some minor downsides:Cleaning is moderately easy, but the only component that is recommended for the dishwasher is the pitcher (which is also easiest to clean by hand). I’ve had a bunch of loose leaf tea just sitting in my cupboard throughout Summer because I didn’t want to drink something warm when it was already too hot in our house. From the first time I used this it immediately became a “why didn’t I buy this sooner?” kind of thing. Now I always have tea either steeping or ready to drink. I’ve used it with both green and black teas, which have both been fantastic. Going to try a herbal chai tea next. The tea tastes perfect, exactly as it does with a perfectly steeped hot tea, but with cold brewing it somehow doesn’t get bitter when you leave the tea in too long… I can’t recommend this enough.

Customer Review: There is an issue with Cold Brew nowadays. Namely – there is a quickly closing gap in between the taste & value of homemade versus store bought. … I want you to be happy. I want you to drink great coffee that energizes and invigorates you. If having a neat little bottle with a cork top in your fridge makes you happy, go for it. If you just have to make cold brew yourself – I would recommend a Toddy system. If you just enjoy the taste of cold brew, buy it pre-made from one of those big corporate overlord brands.

Customer Review: I have been using this for over a year and cannot imagine going back to any other way of brewing. It is simple, inexpensive, compact, and produces fabulous coffee. The coffee is so great that I take a flask of it with me when I go to restaurants for breakfast. I then order hot water for tea and pour my concentrate in with milk and stevia. I cannot go back to any other brewed coffee as that is bitter and acrid and acidic. This produces clean bright coffee that allows you to enjoy instead of puckering your lips…

Customer Review: I received this product within time allotted in ad. No problem with the charge. It was packed very well and my cold brew pot was received intact and undamaged. This cold pot holds six cups of water as listed . I usually put two tablespoons of coffee in per cup of water and the coffee ground container holds that well. I thought the taste of the coffee was pretty good between 12 and 24 hours of brew time. The pot is so easy to clean I have it done in about 3 minutes. I love love my cold brew pot. If it is taking you FOREVER to get the water to initially seep through the coffee into the pot, then you are most likely using coffee grounds that are TOO FINE for cold brew! You want to use a COURSE GROUND coffee! I really like the Bizzy Cold Brew Smooth and Sweet coffee. Don’t be misled by its name – it has NO sweetener added to it – the name just refers to the coffee’s flavor profile…2. Even though this pot says that its parts are dishwasher-safe – HAND WASH everything. All parts wash quickly with warm water and a little dawn dish soap!3. To make the coffee, I put the grounds into the filter area in the pot, add room temperature water, put the lid on and let it sit on the counter for about 5-6 hours. I take a table knife from my silverware drawer and stir the grounds around (within their filter area) a couple times during this initial 5-6 hour soak. Then, put the pot into the frig and let it soak there overnight. After about 8-9 hours in the frig I take it out, stir the grounds around again with the table knife (within the filter area), let it sit for a few minutes and then lift up the filter. Hold the filter over the coffee, tilting it a little to let as much liquid as possible drip out from the filter into the coffee. I think I tilt the filter and balance it against the pot over the coffee to let it drip that way for about 5 minutes…. Then take the filter all the way out. I dump the grounds onto a plastic tray and let them dry out – then give them to a gardener!.4. As soon as you have dumped the grounds out of the filter, unscrew the bottom cap and rinse out the filter! Then rub a couple drops (you don’t need much) of dawn blue dish liquid between your thumb and index finger and then use those fingers to rub the soap all around on the filter – inside and out. This takes only a minute or two and gets it totally clean! Rinse well and let it dry…. It gets totally clean this way with no staining!.5. I immediately transfer the coffee out of this pot into a borosilicate glass pitcher for storing in the frig.Then, HAND WASH this blue pot, with just a couple drops of dawn dish detergent. It only takes another minute to wash, rinse and invert to dry. Easy, totally clean and ready for the next use when the coffee starts to run low.
