Customer Review: “5/12/25: UPDATE: The pot works fine. One thing drove me to using bad words. I said this before, but it is an irritant. They attached the handle to the lid. Plastic lids are hard enough to use on glass jar. Having a handle in the way so that you have to remove your hand with each turn is frustrating. For someone new to what cold coffee brew represents, this is a good starter pot, or I frequently used pot. The instruction page presented a problem. Simple answer: go online and get detailed instructions on just how to make cold coffee. Now, the simple instruction manual is a fine reminder. Packaging handled the trip thru shipping very well. It is glass. It was double packed. There were many choices of cold brewing containers. Considering the cleaning process I go thru with my automatic tea pot, I opted for simple. Simple is very easy to clean with no over-engineered top to take apart to clean. Small enough for refrigerator or counter. The gaskets didn’t look sturdy to me, but after use and washing, I think they will be just fine. It’s hard for the plastic lid to screw on and off because of the handle, but I succeed. I use a standard tube sponge to clean the filter. Works better.”

When I saw this, claiming to make a legitimate, quality cold brew coffee in 20 minutes or so, I was at best doubtful. Considering how much I’d spent on other systems, along with their required accessories, and the extreme amount of money at that coffee place with Siren, not Mermaid, on its cups. What did I have to lose? Turns out, I get to lose those trips to that place and make my own coffee at home. This machine is amazing and makes some of the best cold brew I’ve tasted and does it in 20 minutes. Another feature I love, although it adds 12-24 hours, is to prepare a batch on the Extreme setting. 25 minutes to brew and then into the refrigerator. Probably what I love the most is I can use any of my coffees (I’ll go from regular to different flavors – like peppermint mocha year round) and can make a pot of it cold. I’ve tried similar competing devices, but keep coming back to Vinci.”

Customer Review: “My mom always used Mr. Coffee coffee makers, and I’ve used them for nearly all of my adult life as well, because they have always been reliable and reasonably priced. This is neither a coffee press, nor does it use disposable single serve pods. It is a single serve, electric drip coffee maker for grinds, that does exactly what it is suppose to without issue. If you are someone who believes sometimes less is more, this may be for you…. no extra bells or whistles to go wrong. It comes with a reusable filter, which is great from the perspective of less paper waste, but you may still want to use paper filters, depending upon the grind of your coffee. I liked that it came with an easy to use and replace charcoal water filter that is optional to use. I also liked that it came with a double walled cup with lid and straw for iced coffee that fits perfectly. Buying a decent one separately will usually run you at least $8-$10, so it definitely adds value to this coffee maker. The water reservoir is small and non removable, just perfect for one large cup, and easy to get into to clean properly, another plus. Inside the resevoir is a sort of step measure you can use as well. If you like large reservoirs (which can be difficult to clean if built in, or have alignment issues if removable) this won’t be for you. Two buttons, one for hot, one for cold. Hit it once to start, once to turn off, or just wait for it to shut off itself, which it does pretty quickly after it finishes brewing. Not programmable, brews quickly. It has a small profile on the counter top also, making it great for small spaces. Great for single people who just want a freshly brewed cup of cofee when they want it with minimal waste and hassle. The drip pan in the base is easily removable for cleaning and stays in place. There is no base height adjustment, so cup size may help if you have splashing issues, but I had no issue with splashing myself. So far, I’m very happy with it, and given my history with this brand, I fully expect that to remain the case, although I haven’t used this model previously.”

I’ve had a bunch of loose leaf tea just sitting in my cupboard throughout Summer because I didn’t want to drink something warm when it was already too hot in our house. From the first time I used this it immediately became a ‘why didn’t I buy this sooner?’ kind of thing. Now I always have tea either steeping or ready to drink. I’ve used it with both green and black teas, which have both been fantastic. Going to try a herbal chai tea next. The tea tastes perfect, exactly as it does with a perfectly steeped hot tea, but with cold brewing it somehow doesn’t get bitter when you leave the tea in too long, it stays perfect, so it’s even easier than brewing hot. And I get four large cups out of this, instead of 2 with my kettle. Went with Takeya specifically because I use one of their metal insulated water bottles daily, and love it. Same quality here. I kinda wish it was glass instead of plastic, but at least if I drop this it isn’t going to shatter on my feet. Drawbacks? If I’m being hyper-nitpicky, the way that the filter threads into the lid is kinda tricky. I usually have to try two or three times to get the threads lined up right. Can’t recommend this enough. One of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon in a long time.”

Customer Review: “I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I felt like this product deserved one. This is an excellent cold brew maker. It is very easy to use and has a great 1,200 mL capacity. The plastic construction is more versatile (less fragile) than other brewers made from glass. The filtration system eliminates the sludge that other brew systems leave. The packaging is very thoughtful – a scoop and sponge are included. The scoop is easily overlooked, but it is the perfect size to clean the used grounds out of the filter. The sponge is an unexpectedly useful form factor to help with cleaning. Hopefully the sponges can be ordered separately, since sponges don’t last forever. Some minor downsides: Cleaning is moderately easy, but the only component that is recommended for the dishwasher is the pitcher (which is also easiest to clean by hand). All of the other elements are recommended for hand washing, which doesn’t take long. The way the filter is configured, the pitcher will work most effectively if stored (at least for part of the brew cycle) on its side. However, there is a vent in the lid that is prone to leaking when the pitcher is stored on its side. Brewing upright can lead to the top grounds not getting exposed to water. Unfortunately, one of the pieces broke during routine use after a couple of months: the pitcher lid is attached with a couple of hinges that snap the lid into place on the pitcher. One of the hinge attachments broke. I contacted customer service and a replacement pitcher arrived four days later. I’d recommend being careful with these hinge attachments as they seem prone to break. At the same time, the customer service is very responsive and suggests that they take support of their products seriously.”

Customer Review: “I’ve tried making cold brew a couple different ways, most recently with Ball jars and a metal filter. This Maestri brewer does a better job than other methods I’ve tried. No coffee ground sludge in the bottom, easy to clean grounds out of the filter, and easy to pour liquid out of the pitcher without removing the filter / grounds. The brew is pretty strong and tastes great. I have found that sometimes air gets trapped in the pitcher when I’m filling it, and that can effect the brewing slightly. When this happens, the coffee grounds don’t seem to get fully saturated right away, so the brewing time takes longer. 24 hours of brew time seems to be the sweet spot for my taste preference, which is strong.”
