Customer Review: “This is the second one that I’ve had. The first was from Stanley, identical to this one. I like that it can tip over without leaking, however tea cools quickly. When filled with hot liquid and closed, the air heats and pressurizes the container, sometimes squirting the contents if not vertical. It does need frequent cleaning as the valves which open the drinking hole and vent can fail to seal when closed if dirty. I dropped the first one and it landed on the side, breaking joint between the inner and outer sleeves. That said, I bought a second one because it is convenient, and one doesn’t worry about laying it down and it leaking. Once figuring out what works best, it functions well enough. It ain’t cheap and is shipped from overseas, probably China, so delivery is slow, despite the site saying it was in stock, in stock on the other side of the planet.”

Our flourishing relationship was tragically cut short when my then 9 yo daughter took it to school to use as her water bottle, where it was eventually abandoned amongst the playground detrius. It was an easy decision to repurchase the same Stanley trigger action travel mug, but alas, Stanley had discontinued it due to an inexplicable product recall that presumably involved a frivolous lawsuit by an unscrupulous coffee drinker. For the next year plus, I squandered my earnings on failed relationship after failed relationship with other travel mugs that simply could not measure up to the Stanley. When all hope seemed lost, and my days were spent endlessly browsing amazon listings in an effort to salve the pain of my loss with cheap retail therapy, I chanced upon this listing for the Maxforest 16oz trigger action travel mug. One buy now button press and a 4 week overseas journey from a factory in China reunited me with this near perfect facsimile of the original Stanley. I am whole again. Reposting my original review of my first love….I have discerning tastes and exacting requirements when it comes to travel mugs. Leakproof is tablestakes. Also needs to be relatively small diameter in the three inch range. The mechanism to open the bottle needs the be easily operable with one hand and the cap has to unscrew with minimal force. The parts need to be accessible and easily washed. Lastly, it needs to look tight. Nice color, professional, not too much bling but not cheap looking. After leaving my 20oz miir travle mug with flip top at a cafe table during a trip to San Diego, I was in the market for a replacement. I was never crazy about the Miir. It met the leak proof, slim profile, and sleek look specs, but the flip top, when flipped up, left coffee stains on my nose after every sip. Also, the cap was hella difficult to unscrew once finished. The stanley scores big in all categories. I really like the push button release which gives a perfect swallow of coffee with a quick press. The cap easily disassembles for cleaning and the green hammered enamel paint is old school cred. This is the one. Highly recommend”

Customer Review: “I love my morning coffee. I also love to travel. When I travel and stay in Airbnb‘s, they have these horrible little K cup coffee makers that I hate. So I figure I would give the Stanley travel mug a try. Multipurpose. Multifunctional. And hopefully it makes a good cup of coffee. We took it on a dry run for two weeks in Puerto Rico. And I really fell in love with this product. It makes a great cup of coffee. It’s very convenient. It’s easy to clean. And it also doubles as a place to keep your cocktails cold while at the beach. So what began as a travel mug just for traveling. Is now the French press I use at home because it is so convenient.”

Customer Review: “I use this while camping. I use this on a long work day of driving. I use this with coffee grounds, and my tea was also delicious in here. First things first, this is perfect for on the go hot drinks. It doesn’t stay boiling hot for hours, which I like, because if I use the French press feature, the water I use to make my coffee has to be boiling. My issue with other mugs is they do their job too well. I typically can’t enjoy my coffee right after prepping it. With this, I don’t have to leave the lid off for a half an hour before it becomes drinkable. That saves me from potential spills. Now you might be thinking, so this insulation is junk. No, you should still be cautious and test the drinks out. It keeps things warm, trust me. The pieces of the French press are easy to use. The filter twists off the depressor, for easy cleaning. The mug is small and the stainless steel inside is easy to clean. My only hiccup is the lid, with two convoluted, spinning pieces. They could have done less with this lid. It’s not hard to use the lid, but it’s also not the most comfortable. I don’t know how to describe it. It is cute overall, but people would have still loved the product if it was a simpler lid design. The handle also seems weak, but that’s because it is dainty. I’m used to thick plastic handles, but this is a thin metal one. It feels strong. I hope it will hold up to the test of time, especially at the hinges.”
