I keep the mug on its charger when not using.I get up early in the morning before my family in order to spend time doing things I enjoy, which is usually sewing.Never been one to drink a cup of coffee quickly. Sometimes I’ll spend a couple of hours just sipping on my coffee and sewing. In the past, my coffee always got cold. Not anymore. My coffee will stay warm for hours, usually around 145-150 degrees, the digital display keeps me updated on the internal temperature.The mug is beautiful, made to be durable and functional. Again, you should be able to find a color that is “just right” for your taste.I have found the battery life ample to get me through my morning routine, with the cup maintaining the mid-level temperature for about 4 hours on a full charge.There is also an option to keep the cup on the charger plate while in use, which will keep the charge all day long. Of course, that defeats the “portability” benefit of a self-powered heated cup. I have been using a warming plate for years, but have had to sacrifice the ability to take my coffee with me to another room and keep it hot. So, whether you use the portability feature or fixed charger plate option, one is bound to be “just right” for you!They do list the “capacity” as 16 oz. While this is, technically, a true statement, 16oz fills the cup to the very tip-top of lip (see photo). With battery life starting with hot coffee it will last only an hour on piping hot and 3 hrs on medium. Great for making ramen in the car.
