Firstly I feel you should always tell folks HOW you’ll use something – for me, I will only ‘normally use’ this for heating up water for tea…My bottom is getting ‘oxidation’ marks – stainless is basically nickel, chromium, and steel – but still can/will oxidize if the passivation layer is removed and bare metal is exposed…I like that the french press is removable – when I first got it I thought it couldn’t come out and the lid would permanently have the french press attachment – but nope you can unscrew the bottom and remove it – nice feature.”

I have no worries of it burning the kitchen counters or the wood table. I can honestly say the old 20 year old camping French press is probably retired after this. Oh yeah the best part. I bought one for the farm. I had a pour over there, but that coffee is too weak for me now. I have a grinder for whole beans. You can buy ground coffee, but fine grounds will leak past the filter. Grinding beans extra coarse solves that problem, if you think it is a problem (I don’t taste any difference).”

Customer Review: “This is the French press. I used the regular ones with the mesh screen filter, they work OK. Then tried the ESPRO, the dual screen and silicone seal make your coffee 100% better, by simply preventing the fine grounds from getting into your drink. French press taste, none of the grit. It looks great, easy to clean, easy to use. I use a scale to weigh the water and grounds. There is a line inside the glass to show the fill height, there is a small arrow on the lid to align the pouring screen window. I no longer use my Mochamaster drip coffee maker. If ESPRO came out with an updated model for 2026, and the handle was improved a bit less flimsy, and the lid orientation arrow was a bit easier to see, I’d buy a new one! Be careful with the glass in the dishwasher it’s fragile!!”

Customer Review: “This is a really interesting machine. Not “Barista” at all (honestly, a silly name and the “7 in 1” is really pushing it too) but still a great and innovative machine. Really, this is a good machine for someone that has a small space and wants a small drip style machine that offers other options. I usually use a French press or Moka pot for coffee but honestly get tired of the cleaning/time that both require. I just wanted a simple/small coffee maker. A 4 or 5 cup style machine. Then I came across this! The Good: 1. Auto off feature/simple one button operation. 2. Easy fill water chamber holding 30 ounces or 6 cups. This is nice as most small machines are 4 or 5 cups (20-25 ounces). The chamber is actually separate from the basket chamber and has a nice large opening and is completely clear. Easy to pour in water and not make a mess. Clear water indicator also plus charcoal filter option. My unit didn’t come with a charcoal filter btw. 3. Basket can be used as a pour over and also uses standard #2 filters. I don’t make pour over coffee but it’s nice to have the option. Plus the basket works well and has a nice tab for easy removal though I just use #2 paper filters for easy cleanup. 4. The drop down drip tray for smaller sized mugs is genius. Most machines I’ve seen you actually slide up or remove and re-install the bottom drip tray for smaller mugs. Annoying. This one just simply flips down. So easy and it even has slots so any drips will still fall into the main drip tray below. Perfect. 5. The carafe is a French press container! Why not? I love items that multi task/save space and this is fantastic. Another great idea. Can be used in a variety of ways too. 6. Relatively compact size overall though machine is deeper than most small 4-5 cup drip style coffee makers. 7. The included “cold brew” strainer basket is a nice addition. I already have a Mason jar based cold brew system but this strainer basket is perfect for loose leaf teas and how I will use it. A great addition. 8. Looks quite nice. The stainless on the top and band across the bottom have a quality look. The Bad: 1. No size options. Essentially if you are not using the full 6 cups you just need to add less water or stop the machine. So the machine runs the amount of water you put in no matter what. It would be nice if there were 8 or 14 ounce options. I know this would complicate the machine but it would be nice since the tank holds 30 ounces. If you are making a 14 ounce mug you just need to pour in 14 ounces of water and then hit the power button. 2. No warmer plate. Not an issue for me but I know most want this and it’s usually standard on drip style machines. Not an issue for me at all. I drink my few cups relatively quickly and usually getting it cooled down is the issue.”

Customer Review: “Six cups, uses small filters (quick fyi), and literally does anything you’d want a coffee maker to do! We got this for our cabin, because it’s petite in size and does so many things. It’s perfect for my husband and I, but also for when we have company. I can just make a couple of pots to get 12 cups, and I use a thermal carafe to keep it hot. It brews very quickly, the coffee is evenly brewed every time, and is always good and hot. I have used the normal pot, French press and the pour over. All are fabulous! This little beast eliminates the need for multiple separate purchases. The one thing I wish it had is a reusable filter. I did purchase one that’s an off brand. It works, but is just a tiny bit tall for this coffee maker. It doesn’t quite allow the lid to close. But it still works, so, whatever. The water reservoir is attached, and doesn’t come off, another quick fyi. No biggie, the machine will brew whatever amount of water you pour in. Glass pot is appealing to the eye, and easy to clean. Also, simple design, just an on/off switch. No pause and serve feature, but you really don’t need it with how quickly this brews. We absolutely love the compact size, all the options it comes with, the flavor of the coffee, as well as the price. I don’t have a pic, but if I can, will add one later.”

Customer Review: “Likes: Fast grinding, even oily beans. Does a nice job, and not too noisy when the COVER is put on, otherwise- it’s noticeably louder. Just a little finer than medium, is how we grind our coffee. Grinds are just right for our Mr. Coffee, and Black And Decker 12 cup drip makers- Yes we have two drip coffee makers, my wife doesn’t drink her coffee as strong as I like it. Dislikes: You cannot use this machine continuously to grind say, a can’s worth, like I usually do. It will thermally shut down. It specifically says so in the manual. Our now deceased Cuisinart did the same thing. So, grind what you need, and if it shuts off, just wait a while to resume. Polycarbonate plastic grinds cups WILL crack and break if you hit them, or tap them on something to get all the grinds out. Don’t do that! Overall, if you’re not a really snobby coffee eccentric, that needs perfectly uniform conical cut beans, this grinder works great. It’s reasonably priced, and I like it a bit better than the Cuisinart.”

Customer Review: “So far, this little device has made me happy. About a year ago, I began to give up on pre-ground coffee, such as the canned stuff and k-cups for our Keurig machine. Now, don’t get me wrong…the laziness inside of me – from time to time – prefers to drag myself from my slumber down to my kitchen and drop a k-cup in the machine with pretty blue lights and produce a mediocre cup of coffee. But, I picked up a French press on Amazon and a hand grinder (German-made, apparently high quality…should be for the money); and I found myself in heaven. But, that also became a pain: boiling water, pouring it into the press; pressing; cleaning the press; eh…not fun. Then came the big, bright idea – why not just buy an electric grinder? Now, I may not have the palate that some seem to claim on here (many of which probably can’t tell the difference between a cheap cup and one that’s not), but I know what tastes good and bad and what amount of coffee and water works well to produce a cup that I do like. With that said, I’ve found this (quite small) contraption both easy-to-use and producing of decent grinds. I haven’t fumbled through all of the settings; but I’m already quite pleased for the quality of grinds for drip and French press coffee. I’m yet to try this for finer grinds…for say, a latte or cappuccino, so I’ll have to come back and update you at that time. However, in the meantime, it’s really quite hard to give this anything other than an acceptable rating; and for what it’s produced so far, I’ll give it five stars. By the way, it also has those really spiffy blue lights, and it’s quite easy to clean, load and manipulate the settings. And, I really like the little brush that rests on top of the grind bin – that little guy works surprisingly well! Oh, and as you’ll notice in one of my photos, it’s so fast and easy that I just use a refillable k-cup now…my k-cup holder is awfully naked…More review to come…but hope this helps in the meantime! UPDATE: May 19, 2016: I’ve had this for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s gotten a pretty good workout. I’ve had no issues with the machine; it grinds, grinds, and grinds. Coffee comes out pretty consistent, and yes some of the grounds can vary ever so slightly, but I don’t believe that you’re going to find a grinder that’s going to produce PERFECT, consistent grinds all the time, especially at this price. Still satisfied, and highly recommend.”
