Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This coffee pot is the best one I’ve had in a long time. You can brew any size pot you want or just one cup up to 14 oz. Put in water, put in grounds and turn it on…super simple. It doesn’t do pods, but that’s ok by me because they are too expensive for me anyway. The pot is programmable to have coffee ready when you wake up. It has a sensor so that if you need a cup before the pot is done brewing you can remove the pot to pour a cup and it stops and doesn’t drip on the warming plate. I have not had to clean up coffee that ended up somewhere other than the pot or the cup and best part, no grounds in the pot or the cup. I am a happy customer. It was 69.99 which I think is a great value for the price compared to other coffee makers. I highly recommend.”

Customer Review: “I bought this for my mom, who has never had a single cup coffee maker. She absolutely loves the ability to make a pot every morning and having a quick cup to go when she goes out in the afternoon. The one cup and the carafe use a metal filter so she can use the same coffee for both. That saves her from spending money on pods and removes the waste that comes with it. It is no bigger than her last pot, and brews a great cup of coffee. She was excited to report that she was able to set it up on her own and got it brewing without any problems.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Let me preface this review by saying that I’ve owned three Keurig Duo(s) over the past 4 years (now including this one). All were different versions of the Duo. There really isn’t anything that sets this one apart for me other than the digital clock, which I could take or leave. Keurigs perform well until they don’t. I can say they last slightly longer than other brands with comparable makes and perform solidly until they decide not to turn on again (usually without warning or signs of obvious signs of struggling leading up to it); they just randomly do not turn on one day. So far, in my experience, they’ve been lasting 1-1.5 years. The pros are that it consistently makes a good cup of coffee. I enjoy having the single-use side for morning coffee and work-from-home days, and I appreciate the option to make a pot to fill my travel mug when I am on the go. The option to make a strong or weak cup is also a good option, but I never go with the latter, so it’s only ever used when I have guests. While you can use it to make iced coffee, I am not a fan, so I haven’t really tried that out. In terms of performance, it’s relatively quick, and I really like the fact that it doesn’t take 20 minutes to brew a pot like the old-school coffee makers. As far as clogging and K-cups go, it handles frequent use like a champ – It hardly, if ever, clogs, and I haven’t experienced any half-brewed coffee flowing out of the sides, or exploding cups. It is because the Keurig is so popular that if you need a spare part, there are plenty of options available, which is helpful if you want something extra to brew loose tea or coffee. Even if you have to replace a needle/motor or get a new carafe, there are options everywhere.Asthetically speaking, it’s sleek, compact, but has a decent sized resevior, and fits/sits perfectly on top of my K-Cup drawer. It’s black, so it blends with pretty much everything; the silver trim provides a decent offset. All in all, I really like Keurig. Hopefully, this one lasts longer.”

Customer Review: “This coffee maker is excellent because it combines drip coffee and capsule brewing in one machine. It allows you to enjoy traditional coffee or use capsules depending on your mood. It works fast, the coffee tastes great, and it brews at the perfect temperature. It’s easy to use, doesn’t take up much space, and is very easy to clean. Great quality and modern design. Highly recommended.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Top tier coffee maker. I use it for everything. I make my tea with it too as the single cup use is clutch. This is everyday use without an issue. Time is perfect. Brewing styles actually work. Easy use. Warming is a good touch. Zero leaks. Pot itself is a great design and very durable. Bang for buck this is unbeatable. Tight lid for screw in so don’t have to worry about messed. Auto stops when pot is removed.”

Customer Review: “My husband and I are huge coffee lovers, and have tried many types of brewers in the past. This Ninja was purchased in early August, and I waited until October to review so I could give a thorough review after many, many uses. I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is the absolute BEST coffee maker I have owned. We are also a Ninja-product family, so I was ecstatic to add this to our kitchen. I thought I was a regular creamer-only kind of person until this Ninja gave me options. Now its opened up a whole new world of things I’ve made… and loved! My husband is the one who likes all of the crazy caffeine concoctions, toppings, flavors etc. He is THRILLED with the versatility offered by a single coffee machine. This maker is used a bare minimum of 5 times per day (don’t judge us). Each time, we have the freedom to explore and design different flavor profiles, micro foams, temperatures etc. Hot, espresso, over ice, latte, cappuccino… the list goes on. You can choose from a vast array of sizes, from one small cup, all the way up to a large pot with just the twist of a knob. It comes with a tempered glass carafe for the larger servings. What you get: Coffee maker unit, smart scoop (labeled with how much coffee per serving), frother wand attachment, tempered glass carafe with smart funnel, permanent basket, filter basket, flip top water reservoir, de-clogger tool, instruction manual.Useage: Variety of cup sizes on this machine include:CupCup XLTravel tumblerMulti Serve TumblerHalf CarafeFull CarafeIt also features a drip stop, which functions similarly to an emergency break. This is used typically when you are making a larger serving, and would like to pause the brewing cycle to grab a cup of coffee before it finishes. Each time you use the Ninja, even if its just a small 9 oz cup, it tastes like a full freshly brewed pot. It isn’t instant like some types that just send hot water through. It takes a few minutes to fully extract the coffee flavors you want.Coffee Types: You can choose classic brew, rich brew, or over ice for each cup. For a cold drink, place a generous serving of ice into a large cup, add your coffee grounds, and brew with the “over ice” button.Frother Wand: To make a foam, simply choose your liquid (milk, creamer), place desired amount into a cup, and place your dairy cup under the wand/arm. Press the top button for around 30 seconds, and you will have a lovely foam to pour over your coffee.Cleaning & Storage: All parts of this coffee maker (except for the main unit itself) are both handwash and dishwasher friendly. In between brews, take both filters out (one sits inside the other), discard used coffee grinds, wash out, and you’re good to go. When the dreaded descale light comes on, it is as simple as running some water diluted vinegar through the reservoir. There is a small “shelf” to hold small/medium cups, and the shelf flips up to accommodate larger tumblers and the carafe.Issues/Things To Consider: This model does NOT accommodate k-cups or pods. This machine is for use with ground coffee only. I used to use reusable pods, but I actually prefer this method more. To me, it is much easier to clean a larger filter versus the tiny cups. Conclusion: This is undoubtedly my most favorite gadget in the house. I would recommend it to any person seeking a good cup of coffee from a reliable brand.”

  • ✓ Multiple cup size options, up to 24 oz for grounds
  • ✓ Compact design with storage for accessories

Why We Recommend It

This coffee maker strikes a great balance between convenience and quality, delivering better-tasting coffee than some pod-only machines. The frother and brew style options enhance its versatility, making it a solid choice for single-serve enthusiasts.

Best For

Perfect for those who want pod compatibility without sacrificing flavor and enjoy milk-based coffee drinks at home.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Supports both grounds and pods for flexibility
  • Built-in frother adds convenience for specialty drinks
  • Produces coffee at ideal temperature for smooth taste
  • Compact with clever accessory storage
Cons:
  • Does not make true espresso or cappuccino shots
  • Ground basket is relatively small for larger servings

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This is a well engineered machine. It has storage for its accessories, is very compact, and actually makes coffee at closer to the proper temperature. I measured about 180 degrees whereas my Kurig was 155. This definitely makes for better quality and smoother tasting coffee. This machine does make better coffee than a Kurig machine. However, it Does Not make true espresso or cappuccino. You can come close by using the 4oz feature and the frother works fine, but just don’t expect true espresso shots. Nonetheless, it’s a good compromise. Get the same convenience as a Kurig, but with better tasting coffee approaching coffee shop quality. The regular drip basket (non pod) is a copper filter, so it will not add a metallic taste. It will make up to 24 oz of coffee which is really just two large mugs worth, but it is capable of very strong brew. If you are concerned about microplastics produced by the heat on plastic pods as we are, then use the metal pods available on Amazon with your own brand of coffee and grind your own for the best results.”

Customer Review: “This was the best purchase this year for me! My Keurig was just failing! I hated to let it go, but it was time! I have replaced most of my kitchen items with Ninja products. So I decided to give the coffee maker a try! Wow! The fact that I can choose my strength of my coffee with a coffee pod is amazing! I love rich strong coffee! The Ninja did not disappoint! The temperature is consistent! The size is correct. I can’t tell you why? But this coffee maker uses less water than my Keurig! The frother on the side is great! It does what it is supposed to do! Very handy! It brews a cup in about 2 minutes from hitting the brew button! I really recommend this coffee maker! I look forward to having my 1 cup a day! The smell of the rich coffee brewing smells great and tastes delicious!”

  • Some noise from fan during chilling process
  • Limited brew sizes compared to other models

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This Keurig is amazing! We have been using Keurig brewers for at least 10 years now and all have been good to us! Keurig’s customer service is top notch as well. I set up a little coffee bar in my kitchen and added this new brewer and it is the best I have used so far for iced coffees! The chiller tank on the back keeps the water cold and doesn’t melt the ice during the brewing process. To keep the water chilled, it does have to run constantly and the fan will kick on and off throughout the day but it doesn’t bother me at all, it’s fairly quiet. The lights do not come on until the handle is lifted and it shuts itself off automatically. Another great feature is the self cleaning cycle it does after every brew, which will help to keep it running well between descaling. If you are an iced coffee lover like me, get this brewer, you won’t be disappointed and will probably save some $$ on going out to get it!”

Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. I had Keurig Classic and Keurig 2.0 (hot and iced). They both still work. I gave the first one to my Mom and I use the other in my office at work now I wanted something different and considered Ninja, Instant Pot, and Keurig brands. In the end, I picked Keurig Brew+Chill – better reviews, based on my personal experience with the brand, and some new features. The size is a little bulkier than what I would have liked but it will do.I love the multi-stream technology – it pokes 5 holes on the coffee pods, strong brew, brews hot & cold, 70 oz water reservoir.I just received and set this up yesterday. I filled the chill tank with filtered cold water from the fridge. It made some sounds that sounded like your kitchen fan blowing on low setting. I pressed the “quiet” mode so then it changed to just a low humming noise. The sound didn’t bother me at all. While it was cooling the chill tank, I felt some warm air coming from the side vent, right behind the water reservoir. It almost felt like your desktop tower blowing some air. 24 hours later, no more noise and warm air blowing. I think it will come on based on your usage of the “cold” brew. Because of the chill feature, this needs to be plugged in at all times to maintain the water cold.So far, I brewed 2 Keurig Iced CoffeeHouse drinks Pineapple Passionfruit and Strawberry Açaí. I also did 4 hot brews of Starbucks, Kirkland and Keurig coffees. For all the ones I made, they are all good as expected with no issues. I will try to cold brew the traditional Keurig next.My coffee mug in the picture is a 16oz and fits. Some of my 24 oz travel mugs fit if I remove the bottom tray. Anything over 8” tall will not fit. This model would only brew 6 to 12 oz at a time. I would have liked a espresso brew to maybe 4 oz?Back to the cold brews – the machine will do an auto rinse maybe 30 seconds immediate after the brew is completed. I put a cup underneath and for 2 cold drinks, only 1 drop each came out from the nozzle. The bottom tray however was almost full. So, it looks like when it rinse, the water goes through a tube from the inside to the bottom tray. Also, I still have to add ice to my cold drinks. Maybe it’s just a matter of preference? There’s no hot water button on this one but if you just want hot water, say for your oatmeal, just brew hot like normal but without any coffee pods in it. It’s actually good to run plain hot water on your machine from time to time as it helps clean it in between. I did that on my previous machines. I also recommend filtered water only. Don’t use tap water or distilled water.I wish it came with a built in frother. I bought a separate Keurig frother and I will download the Keurig Barista app next so I can try some flavored coffee, latte and cappuccino. I’m excited. The traditional Keurig filter cup won’t fit on this one due to the multi stream feature but I read that one will come out in Feb 2025. I will also try that to make my own using regular ground coffee.Even though I had no issues with my other Keurig coffee machines, I purchased the 3 year protection plan, just in case. Make sure to register yours for warranty and support purposes. 🙂”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “A great coffeemaker. It does everything you need it to do, works dependably and – most importantly – gets the water hot enough to make actual good coffee. It’s as good as my Melitta pour-over, which I used for years. The water carafe can be a bit awkward to fill all the way, but it doesn’t spill if you use the top to carry it between the sink and the coffeemaker. After we got the right amount of coffee for us (9 scoops, using the measure that comes with the pot) we’ve been set for years. Unless you have truly delicate taste buds – or, more likely, are a complete coffee snob – the Ninja is all you need.”

Customer Review: “I never knew what a difference a coffee maker makes for a good cup of coffee. This coffee maker turns our normal coffee into stellar coffee. Easy to use. Easy to program. Reasonable price. Love the additional features – extended burner time, brew strength options, self clean. Feels like it is made of high quality components. I hope it lasts longer than the other brands we’ve bought. Very pleased with performance so far!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “We are completely surprised at how well this works. It’s smaller than our other keurig and works just as great. Love the sizes it makes and makes delicious and hot coffee. Have had no issue with it and I’ve had it since Christmas. I’m also impressed with the size of the water reserve. 10/10 and 5 stars!”

Customer Review: “I don’t do a lot of reviews but one thing I love about this coffee maker is that it fits our tall travel mugs. Part of the base is removable to make that possible. The coffee reservoir holds enough water to make three or 4 cups and I love the option to do up to 14 ounces, which is what my husband likes for his cups. The machine works quickly and efficiently, getting started right away versus others I have had that needed a little warm-up time. I haven’t used my own grounds yet, I’m happy with how it works with the K cups and adjustable Brew strength. Noise level is low. It makes some small beeps, but nothing too annoying. I actually like the beep that lets you know it’s done so you don’t have to guess. It’s a nice size, doesn’t take up too much room on the counter. Overall, I’m super impressed with the quality and would purchase this again. If you’re on the fence go for it!”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Hot And Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing the best hot and cold brew coffee maker, consider versatility, brew capacity, and ease of use. Machines that can brew both single cups and full pots offer flexibility for different occasions. Multi-stream or showerhead technology helps ensure even extraction for rich flavor. Features like programmable timers, auto pause, and adjustable brew strength enhance convenience. Also, think about whether you prefer pods, grounds, or both, as compatibility varies. For cold brew lovers, look for temperature control or chilling features to keep iced coffee fresh and flavorful.

Budget Planning

Prices for hot and cold brew coffee makers range widely. Basic models offering single-serve and carafe brewing with simple controls are budget-friendly. Mid-range machines often add programmable features, multiple brew styles, and pod compatibility. High-end options may include espresso functionality, milk frothers, and rapid chilling technology. Decide how much you want to spend based on your brewing preferences and desired features. Investing in a durable, reliable coffee maker can save money over time by reducing trips to coffee shops.

Final Thoughts

Your ideal hot and cold brew coffee maker should fit your lifestyle and taste preferences. Whether you want quick iced coffee in the summer or a full pot of hot coffee for guests, these machines provide convenience and great flavor. Prioritize ease of cleaning and maintenance to keep your coffee tasting fresh. With the right machine, you can enjoy delicious coffee anytime, tailored to your mood and schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use ground coffee and pods with the same coffee maker?

A: Some hot and cold brew coffee makers support both grounds and pods, offering more brewing options. Check the product specifications to ensure compatibility.

Q: How does cold brew differ from iced coffee made with these machines?
