Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I’ve had and used several times a week for 4.5 years. This is just an outstanding little set up. Easy to use and easy to clean (as long as you don’t let the coffee grinds dry in the filter). Really durable, great buy that makes excellent could brew.”
Customer Review: “So I love tea, but I hate being warm. I’ve had a bunch of loose leaf tea just sitting in my cupboard throughout Summer because I didn’t want to drink something warm when it was already too hot in our house. From the first time I used this it immediately became a ‘why didn’t I buy this sooner?’ kind of thing. Now I always have tea either steeping or ready to drink. I’ve used it with both green and black teas, which have both been fantastic. Going to try a herbal chai tea next. The tea tastes perfect, exactly as it does with a perfectly steeped hot tea, but with cold brewing it somehow doesn’t get bitter when you leave the tea in too long, it stays perfect, so it’s even easier than brewing hot. And I get four large cups out of this, instead of 2 with my kettle. Went with Takeya specifically because I use one of their metal insulated water bottles daily, and love it. Same quality here. I kinda wish it was glass instead of plastic, but at least if I drop this it isn’t going to shatter on my feet. Drawbacks? If I’m being hyper-nitpicky, the way that the filter threads into the lid is kinda tricky. I usually have to try two or three times to get the threads lined up right. Can’t recommend this enough. One of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon in a long time.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I am beyond impressed with this 64 oz Mason Jar Cold Brew Coffee Maker! From the moment I opened it, I could tell the materials were high quality. The glass feels thick and durable, not flimsy at all, and the components fit together securely without leaking or feeling loose. It has that sturdy, well-made construction that instantly gives you confidence it’s going to last. Making cold brew with it was incredibly easy. Just add your grounds, pour in water (into the filter and over the grounds) let it steep, and you’re done. The filter does a fantastic job, smooth coffee, minimal gritty residue, and a clean, rich flavor every time. Cleaning is just as simple, which is a huge win for me. Everything rinses out easily, and the wide mouth makes it super convenient to wash thoroughly. No awkward scrubbing or trapped grounds. I may have thrown mine in the dishwasher! The 64 oz size is perfect for prepping multiple servings at once, which saves time during busy weeks. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, this is a high-quality, user-friendly cold brew maker that delivers exactly what it promises! Highly recommend! ☕️”
Customer Review: “5/12/25: UPDATE: The pot works fine. One thing drive me to using bad words. I said this before, but it is an irritant. They attached the handle to the lid. Plastic lids are hard enough to use on glass jar. Having a handle in the way so that you have to remove you hand with each turn is frustrating. Fir someone new to what cold coffee brew represents, this is a good starter pot, or I frequently used pot. The instruction page presented a problem. Simple answer: go online and get detailed instructions on just how to make cold coffee. Now, the simple instructions manuel is a fine reminder. Packaging handled the trip thru shipping very well. It is glass. It was double packed. There were many choices of cold brewing containers. Considering the cleaning process I go thru with my automatic tea pot, I opted for simple. Simple is very easy to clean with no over-engineered top to take apart to clean. Small enough for refrigerator or counter. The gaskets didn’t look sturdy to me, but after use and washing, I think they will be just fine. It’s hard for the plastic lid to screw on and off because of the handle, but I succeed. I use a standard tube sponge to clean the filter. Works better.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “It’s a great product. Simple well built easy to use. I’ve only used it twice. First I tasted the coffee at different times. four hours, 6, 8, 12, 24. To see the difference that made. I didn’t like any of it. In fact I couldn’t drink it and threw it all out. Not the coffee makers fault. I just don’t like cold brew. It even makes me feel sick. I drink decaf for the flavor of it. I like a deep rich coffee flavor. I like a medium roast sweet coffee bean espresso. Cold brew just doesn’t taste anything like that. It has its own taste which is very mild and smooth or flavorless depending on your attitude. But it does extract more caffeine from the beans even my decaf beans made coffee too caffeinated for me. It also extracted some other stuff from the beans my espresso maker doesn’t having a totally different effect on that. I didn’t like. I recommend trying cold brew before getting into making it yourself but my coffee shop doesn’t have decaf cold brew so I had to buy this to see for myself. If you like cold brew this is a great way to go. Aside from changing the time of the brew you can play around with adding paper filters inside the metal filter or filtering the coffee after it’s done but I didn’t mind the slight sludge on the bottom of my coffee cup. So the machine is simple easy to use works well easy to clean. Great if you like cold brew but a completely different type of coffee.”
Customer Review: “I love this. It is not like pressing a button and coffee comes out, but cold brewing coffee is a bit of a process and should be, because it needs to sit for 12-24 hours. It is pretty easy to clean, simple to use, and the glass jar washes easily and does not stain. Coffee stains like a b….”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I felt like this product deserved one. This is an excellent cold brew maker. It is very easy to use and has a great 1,200 mL capacity. The plastic construction is more versatile (less fragile) than other brewers made from glass. The filtration system eliminates the sludge that other brew systems leave. The packaging is very thoughtful – a scoop and sponge are included. The scoop is easily overlooked, but it is the perfect size to clean the used grounds out of the filter. The sponge is an unexpectedly useful form factor to help with cleaning. Hopefully the sponges can be ordered separately, since sponges don’t last forever. Some minor downsides: Cleaning is moderately easy, but the only component that is recommended for the dishwasher is the pitcher (which is also easiest to clean by hand). All of the other elements are recommended for hand washing, which doesn’t take long. The way the filter is configured, the pitcher will work most effectively if stored (at least for part of the brew cycle) on its side. However, there is a vent in the lid that is prone to leaking when the pitcher is stored on its side. Brewing upright can lead to the top grounds not getting exposed to water. Unfortunately, one of the pieces broke during routine use after a couple of months: the pitcher lid is attached with a couple of hinges that snap the lid into place on the pitcher. One of the hinge attachments broke. I contacted customer service and a replacement pitcher arrived four days later. I’d recommend being careful with these hinge attachments as they seem prone to break. At the same time, the customer service is very responsive and suggests that they take support of their products seriously.”
Customer Review: “I’ve tried making cold brew a couple different ways, most recently with Ball jars and a metal filter. This Maestri brewer does a better job than other methods I’ve tried. No coffee ground sludge in the bottom, easy to clean grounds out of the filter, and easy to pour liquid out of the pitcher without removing the filter / grounds. The brew is pretty strong and tastes great. I have found that sometimes air gets trapped in the pitcher when I’m filling it, and that can effect the brewing slightly. When this happens, the coffee grounds don’t seem to get fully saturated right away, so the brewing time takes longer. 24 hours of brew time seems to be the sweet spot for my taste preference, which is strong.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I have several OXO products and they are typically well-made, effective at what they are designed to do and very easy to use. Have to admit that at this point, if I need a kitchen gadget, I’ll almost always default to the OXO product, if I have an option. I’ve been making cold brew for a couple of years now, using a 64 ounce mason jar and that method works well, though it has some issues. I’d been eyeing this cold brew coffee maker for a while and when I saw it on sale, I went for it. After only one time using it, I can already say it’s worth the purchase. Very easy to set up and use. Very well-designed, as is typical with OXO products. Very easy to clean, which was always a pain with the mason jar and its relatively narrow mouth. And the coffee tastes great! The best part is eliminating the filtering process that usually took a good 15 minutes or so with my old method. With this maker, I just flip the switch, go away and turn on my computer and in 10 minutes I come back to a carafe full of tasty coffee. No more struggling with the dumping of the liquid through the filter, while trying to avoid splattering huge chunks of wet grounds all over the kitchen counter. I’d noticed that my acid reflux was definitely not as active and pronounced when I drank cold brew coffee rather than hot coffee and I’m pretty much sold on moving forward with cold brew from this point on. Very happy I finally made the purchase and, as noted before, very happy to have stuck with another solid OXO product.”
Customer Review: “Husband loves cold brew and bought this for him as a Christmas present. It’s easy to use and he loves it. I like the pot, reminds me a a chemistry lab beaker. Doesn’t take up too much counter space.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I wanted a cold brew coffee maker after discovering just how much less bitter cold brewed coffee tastes because of the reduced acidity. Besides, I’ve always liked iced coffee, so I don’t have to water down hot coffee with a handful of ice cubes, but can have a hot cup when desired by simply using the microwave for a few seconds. I made my first pot yesterday afternoon so it would be ready this morning (approximately 16 hours), and am really impressed with how easy it was and how great it tastes. I’d read what seemed like a credible review, and this particular coffee maker was highly rated despite how affordable it is – so I purchased two of them so I’d always have a pot on hand in the refrigerator. Besides the user-friendly design of the unit’s components, the shape of the carafe makes it easy to fit in the refrigerator without taking up much space. I also like the fact that it’s made from Eastman’s Tritan plastic, as we have a countertop distiller that uses this material for its carafe and I’ve found it to be really durable while not incorporating any of the chemical compounds that have been found to be harmful. I don’t know how durable it will turn out to be, but my current impression is that I’ll definitely get my money’s worth and then some with just a little care on my part.”
Customer Review: “So easy to use that my husband makes his own coffee with it! My husband was having trouble with stomach aches after his gallons of coffee each day. We were told that cold brew coffee can be less acidic and hoped that it would help his stomach issues. You literally grind the coffee and put it in the center filter and fill up the container with water then set it in the fridge and walk away until the next day. Technically I think the instructions said 12 hours, but we fill it, toss it in the fridge and forget about it until the next day. Coffee tastes great and is ready to pour the next day. The husband nukes his cup in the microwave to get it hot and fills his travel mug. I’m not sure that it helps much with the stomach issue, but the hubs likes it and it makes a good cold coffee for me so win – win in my books!”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Things I’ve learned using this very nice maker: Making a new batch: You really don’t want finely ground coffee grounds. I made that mistake the first time, just using what I had for hot coffee. I highly recommend measuring out your grounds to the recommended amount and use a measuring cup each time to add them. Eyeballing 5/6th full is proving very inconsistent 🤣. I have used room temp water and I’ve used cold water straight from the fridge because of laziness, I don’t notice a difference. I am really only drinking coffee out of necessity though, not to enjoy the taste so there might be others with a more sophisticated palate that feel differently. I use 4+ cups of water and use a large measuring cup to pour it In. I go over the max line slightly after getting all of the water in and settled (basically as high as I can fill it to still be able to shut the lid without overflowing) and I pour about a cup in, stir with handle of tiny spoon, mash down with spoon part of the spoon (is there a name for that?), pour in another cup and repeat. It can take a couple of minutes to do as the water settles and you push the grounds back in. I go above the max line because even after doing all of this, there were batches that the water was below the max line because things have settled. I need as much coffee as I can get so this is works well. I have let it brew for 12 hours, 18 hours, and 22 hours and like 22 the best. So when I’ve had my second (of 3) day’s cold brew I make a new batch to have ready for day 3 just to be safe. You never know when the kids or your anxiety will keep you up all night and you’ll need a little extra. One thing that will help to have: a tiny metal spoon. I use it to stir (with the handle) and then mash down the grounds after the water has been poured in. I have tried a plastic chop stick and it didn’t work well, I have also tried a butter knife and that was terrible. The tiny spoon works great!. Pouring for consumption: I use a reusable coffee filter to strain the brew out of this container because no matter how big your grounds are, there is a gunk that forms at the bottom that I don’t want to drink. So after it’s done brewing, I pour the entire container into a large measuring cup (the same one I use for the water) THROUGH the strainer, then pour 1 1/4 ish cups into three mason jars. Seal them up and put them in the fridge. You can adjust your portions however you’d like, I just found that 1 cup of cold brew wasn’t quite enough. Mason jars are your best friend. You can pour your desired amount of cold brew per day directly in to them and refrigerate until you’re ready to drink. Add your water (I didn’t realize you had to do this before making my first batch, but I’ve learned I don’t like the 1:1 ratio as much, so I use 1 1/4 cup cold brew pre-measured in the jar and add 1/2 cup of water) directly into the mason jar and add milk/creamer (you don’t NEED anything, I like 3 tbsp of creamer though because I don’t love coffee and I also don’t do milk/sugar, it’s not enough sugar for me 🤣), add an ice cube or two, and drink with a reusable straw from the mason jar.. The plastic tumblers are also a good option but I don’t like refrigerating them as much because the seal isn’t completely tight. I also prefer drinking out of glass. Now you could pour directly from the cold brew maker, but I want to filter mine and I can’t make a new batch if I’m storing the cold brew in there… so the timing didn’t work out the first couple of batches doing that. The only downside, I do wish it wasn’t glass. The amount of moving this thing that is required while making a new batch always makes me nervous. Especially when I have to sit it on the sink to pour out the grounds (although I am going to look for other uses of the grounds in my yard or something). It does have a rubber bottom grip that is removable but I’m clumsy and am just one bad night’s of sleep from knocking it over and it breaking. But it is very nice it is glass and dishwasher safe and very easy to clean by hand in a pinch. Overall I would highly recommend. This is a great cold brew maker. I do wish I had gotten a larger size one because it takes a lot of grounds and I only get 3 days worth of coffee. I think a larger size would only use marginally more grounds and would get 4-5 days worth but I can’t confirm. Happy brewing!”
Customer Review: “Love this carafe. Easy to use and maintain. This brewing method makes great coffee when you use fresh coarsely ground coffee beans.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Purchased this for my husband for iced tea as buying bottles was getting expensive. This is a sturdy jar, made with thick heavy glass. The spigot attaches easily and does NOT drip. Being glass, it doesn’t retain any odor from whatever is stored in it. The strainer works well for coffee, tea and even fresh fruit if you are having a gathering and just want flavored water. We put this on the middle rack in the fridge and the spigot easily clears the door, so it doesn’t have to be moved except to clean and refill. The little chalkboard label is an adorable bonus which I wasn’t expecting.”
Customer Review: “I bought this so that I could make iced tea at home. I usually add a little bit of cool water to the bottom of it and then boil my tea and an electric kettle. I then add the hot tea directly to the container. It works great and it will hold the tea for a couple weeks before it gets bad. It fits well in the refrigerator and doesn’t take up too much space. I don’t know that I would want much larger a size due to the weight on the glass shelves of the refrigerator. It does seem to be pretty durable and I usually hand wash it and it does fine. I just make sure that I run some water and soapy water through the spigot part. Definitely a good value for what you’re getting. I wanted to go with glass so that I didn’t have hot tea going into plastic and potentially releasing PFAS. Metal top lid can be a little tricky to get aligned, but there’s no need to necessarily over tighten it. I’ve actually come to really like the Zulay products because they are of a good quality.”
Complete Buying Guide for Cold Brew Coffee Maker For Home
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing a cold brew coffee maker for home, consider the capacity you need based on how much coffee you drink daily or if you entertain guests. Material matters too—glass pitchers are elegant but fragile, while Tritan plastic models are more durable and lightweight. The filtration system is crucial for smooth, grit-free coffee; look for fine mesh stainless steel filters for best results. Ease of use, cleaning, and storage space are also important to ensure your cold brew routine stays enjoyable and hassle-free.
Budget Planning
Cold brew coffee makers range widely in price. Budget-friendly models often feature plastic construction and simple filters but can still produce great coffee. Mid-range and premium options may offer larger sizes, premium materials like borosilicate glass, and advanced filtration systems that enhance flavor and longevity. Decide how often you’ll use the maker and what features matter most to you to find the best value within your budget.
Final Thoughts
Investing in a quality cold brew coffee maker for home enhances your coffee experience by delivering smooth, flavorful coffee with less acidity. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does cold brew coffee take to prepare?
A: Most cold brew coffee makers require steeping coffee grounds in cold water for 12 to 24 hours to achieve optimal flavor. Some models can produce concentrate in as little as 4-6 hours, but longer steeping generally yields richer taste.
Q: Can I use regular coffee grounds in a cold brew coffee maker?
A: Yes, but it’s best to use coarsely ground coffee to prevent over-extraction and reduce sediment. Fine grounds may clog filters and cause bitterness or cloudiness in your brew.
Q: Are cold brew coffee makers easy to clean?
A: Most cold brew coffee makers are designed for easy cleaning, often dishwasher safe or with removable filters and wide-mouth openings. Regular cleaning prevents buildup and keeps your coffee tasting fresh.
Q: What is the difference between cold brew and iced coffee?
A: Cold brew is brewed slowly with cold water over hours, resulting in a smooth, less acidic coffee concentrate. Iced coffee is brewed hot then cooled quickly over ice, which can dilute flavor and increase acidity.
Q: Can I use my cold brew coffee maker for tea or other beverages?
A: Yes, many cold brew makers work well for steeping loose leaf tea, herbal blends, and even flavored water or lemonade, making them versatile kitchen tools.
