Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “As my title says, it took me 3 tries to become adept at making the perfect latte, and the first didn’t count as you’re supposed to dispose of that one anyway. I’ll be honest, I was worried about becoming an amateur barista thinking the instructions for setup and brewing might go over my head. On the contrary, between the setup instruction manual and the step by step instructions through the BILT app (just scan the QR code and it’ll walk you through this part), it was quite easy to get going. In less than an hour, I had the machine setup and had brewed myself a perfect store quality caramel latte. The stainless steel design looks great and the unit itself appears to be quite durable. A sturdy design with enough weight behind it to keep it easily in place. I’m impressed with the various functions and choices available. It came with a basic recipe book that included various types of recipes, including cold brews. This lovely machine also makes an amazing cup of hot cocoa, for which I used a thick froth setting for the milk (Lactaid works just as well as regular milk, as I’ve become lactose intolerant over the last decade). I haven’t yet purchased a separate knock box for the coffee grounds, so until I do, I have an empty coffee can I keep under my sink for proper disposal. The coffee grounds come out with just a light tap. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. I’ve always been a fan of Ninja products, and this machine is no exception. The Ninja Luxe Café 3-in-1 machine makes it easy to become an amateur barista in no time. As someone who spends roughly $65-$85 a month on retail coffee shops, this machine will pay for itself quickly.”

Customer Review: “This us tge vest machine I have purchased. It makes a perfect espresso, or cup of coffee. Its so easy to use and everything is explained on screen. You know what to do. Tells you when to clean and when to descale and is way easier to do than any other machine I have had. Taste is great. You can tell its pulling a perfect espresso every time. Can’t say enough about this machine!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “When I started shopping for a new coffee maker, I’d originally been thinking of some kind of single-cup pod/disk system as I most often only drink one or two coffee/tea beverages per day, but I am relatively picky about flavor, need to limit my caffeine intake, and have some ingredient intolerances and health issues — as a result, I liked the idea of having a greater measure of control and more options (it’s also nice to have the option to brew a full or half carafe when I have company). So when I saw this machine, I got kind of excited! I liked the idea of having a variety of brew size options and an easy way to create specialty drinks — all in a single machine. And the fact that this also provides tea brew options made trying this product too tempting to resist. Previous to this coffee/tea maker, I was using an old iced tea machine without adding ice to make tea concentrate for my favorite drink (iced decaf chocolate chai made with a high-protein alternative milk — yum!), but this Ninja CP307 makes a tea brew of far superior flavor and makes just the right amount, so I can create a drink that tastes better than my local coffee and tea place at a cheaper price and with more nutritional value. This machine has dedicated baskets for coffee and tea, which are color-coded orange for coffee and green for tea, and I like that since it means those flavors and aromas don’t mix (I confess that I wish I could buy an extra tea basket on Amazon, too, since I tend to make particularly fragrant teas — chai and mint — and would like a dedicated basket for each, but that has no bearing on the quality of the product, and replacement/extra baskets are available on the Ninja website). The baskets are very easy to remove and clean, as is the water reservoir. And I love the double-sided measuring spoon that nests in the side of the machine since it makes it so easy to get the right amount for each size of drink. I will say that the first few times I made coffee with this machine, I sometimes had a bit of leakage issue and not all the water had dripped from the basket upon the end of the brewing cycle, leaving a sort of “well” in the center of the grounds, but I discovered that the problem was the coffee itself, which came ground and was supposed to be the correct grind for the machine, but clearly wasn’t quite right. When I switched to another brand after that previous bag was empty, I never had another problem. So the machine IS a wee bit persnickety about the coffee grind — something that might be an annoyance to some consumers — but I’ve found a brand that both I and the machine like, so it performs perfectly now, and I didn’t find that early issue to be off-putting enough even at the time to ruin what was otherwise such a fantastic machine and which made such fine drinks. Of course, this machine is probably overkill if one is just a hot, black coffee drinker, but if you like a variety of coffees and teas and appreciate the ability to enjoy a good specialty drink at home, this might be a good option for you. I know it has been for me!”

Customer Review: “Coffee and Tea Back to Back: So… a lot of times when you hear about coffee makers that also make tea, all I think about is the awful taste of having coffee grounds in your tea >_<. Tea is often an afterthought for a lot of manufacturers. That's not the case with this machine. They really thought this design through and I am able to use it for both coffee and tea back to back without any extensive cleaning. The trick? The entire brewing basket comes off and they have two separate brewing baskets, one for coffee and one for tea. At no point will the water will touch any component that has touched any coffee grounds when you have the tea basket in, and vice versa. I've seriously made a cup of tea immediately after my husband brewed a cup of coffee without having to clean or even rinse anything. I just swapped the baskets. Tea Basket: So, one thing I will say is that the tea basket is a pain in the ass to clean when brewing loose leaf tea. There's a filter that clips into the bottom to prevent tea leaves getting into your cup, but it doesn't do that great of a job at keeping the leaves out. Granted, I've been brewing maté that's been cut very fine so that is definitely a factor. I'm sure if you were brewing green tea or earl grey, it'd be fine. The other problem is that the brew basket does fill most of the way up, and the tea will tend to float up with it, then stick to the sides when it drains. This is what makes it hard to clean. They don't really concentrate on the bottom (again, this also may be more pronounced with the maté) so you really have to clean the whole thing, and dumping the tea can be difficult. However, I did come up with a great solution that fixes all of this. I just remove the filter at the bottom and use my old tea infuser in the basket. This solves all of these problems completely. No mess and no leaves in my cup. I just dump the tea from the infuser straight in the trash when done and then rinse the infuser and basket. Way, way easier to clean and it's how I recommend brewing cups of tea in this machine. If you're brewing a half carafe or a full carafe, then the cleaning hassle would be worth it for that large quantity. Coffee: We bought this machine after a lot of research when our Keurig broke. We were done having to buy pods. I We definitely didn't feel good about the amount of plastic we kept having to throw away (we don't have recycling where I live) and it's also much more expensive. However, I don't think, with the cost of this brewer, we're going to make up the cost of pods anytime soon. It brews a great cup of coffee, though. We found that the reuseable filter it came with doesn't do a good job, so we switched to unbleached paper filters instead and we have been able to reproduce the consistency and flavor that we liked from our K-cups with it. My husband drinks his coffee black, no sugar, and very much enjoys the flavor of the coffee now with the paper filters. For the record, we were a big fan of the Dunkin' Original, medium roast k-cups and are using the same brand and flavor ground coffee from a bag. The paper filters also make it easier to clean. Just throw the filter out and rinse the basket. It's only slightly more inconvenient than using a pod because we have to scoop out our own coffee, but even then, the included scoop makes that super convenient as well. Features: This machine has a ton of great features. I've used all but the cold brew feature with both tea and coffee and it works great. Want an iced tea? You can have it in minutes. Same with iced coffee. It's really simple to use and everything works as advertised. We bought the version with the thermal carafe because we're not big fans of how coffee tastes when it's been sitting on a burner for a while and the thermal carafe does a great job at keeping the coffee warm for a while. Overall: I highly recommend this brewer. I find it worth the $200 we paid for it and its been a huge upgrade to our mornings."

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This machine came out just a couple of weeks ago January/2026. The only reviews I was able to find were from influenster on the Ninja site. I paid $179.00 for this brewer with my own hard earned money. I also want readers to know that this is my 4th attempt at having a new coffee brewer in 90 days. I started this journey when our Braun coffee maker accidentally was placed in clean mode, and since it will not stop on those brewers once started, the heating element burned out prematurely before we realized what had happened and could add water and cleaner. Having said that, I tried a Cuisinart and the display went bad in the first week. So I tried a second different model Cuisinart and I woke up just in time to find out it had leaked over night all over the countertop causing a short and when the timed brew started in the morning it started smoldering on my countertop headed for a full blown fire. Wow really! That freaked me out so I called an electrician and had my outlets checked (New House) and everything checked out perfect. So back to Amazon I go and buy another Braun. This brewer almost lasted longer than the return date before the clock started losing time and then started randomly not showing any time at all while all other lights and indicators still worked. Apparently, quality control has gone out the window in the world of small electrics. So I decided to try something all together different. My family loves good quality regular drip coffee so that was a necessity. But we also wanted to be able to brew just a travel mug to go or enjoy specialty drinks with a pod style brewer. This brewer brews the perfect cup of drip coffee. It has no trouble heating the water for maximum extraction. I measured the coffee temperature after it leaves the brew basket and before the carafe at 193 degrees + (older analog food thermometer). Its very hot and delicious. It also has no trouble keeping the coffee hot in the carafe and I just leave it on the standard hot plate settings. I live at 5300 ft. so I had to run the easy high altitude calibration and it hardly steams at all. I have never had a kcup or pod brewer but I learned through the owners manual that if you are at high altitude you should push the pod into the pod holder hard enough to puncture the bottom of the pod letting out the excess air pressure before closing the lid and brewing. This works perfect and keeps the pods from blowing out at high altitude because of to much pressure in the kcup. We have used cocoa and tea kcups and both come out perfect. We have also brewed a 20oz. travel mug using ground coffee and it worked flawless. At $179.00 this is a high quality machine that does what it promises to do. At this price point I feel they should have included a permanent filter as I prefer using those to paper. These machines are also UL listed for safety so it should not burn my house down like the Cuisinart that is not UL listed. I add felt pads to the bottom of mine (careful not to block air circulation) so I can slide it easy on the counter for filling and maintenance. This is well engineered and attractive. I will update this review if anything changes. Good luck.”

Customer Review: “I had the ninja hot and cold xl. I loved it came with a permanent filter and a swing out grounds area. I ended up buying the ninja luxe. Returning the xl. I wanted to be able to make espresso. But I realized I like already ground instead of grinding coffee. I also wanted to do k pod, grounds and carafe. I got a different smaller ninja that did all that except the carafe, espresso. I thought well this one looks like a dream. I was very disappointed. Opened it today. Missing paper filters. It came with no permanent mesh filter. The machine is very big. And when opening it hits the top of cabinets. I would need to pull it out every time I used it. There is also no storage for the accessories. Why would you get rid of the ninja hot and cold xl for this? Absolute junk. I will be returning.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I researched extensively before buying this espresso machine. I came across a number of reports of defective machines but decided to take a chance based on Ninja’s reputation. I’m so glad I did! The machine is extremely solid and well built. It can make everything from regular coffee to espresso to iced coffees. This is a very sophisticated machine and reading the manual is essential for a good result. The coffee produced smells and tastes amazing. The milk frother works better than any frother I’ve had before. The bean hopper holds a large amount of coffee beans which I appreciate. I find the speed of the machine to be good and comparable to other espresso machines I’ve had. I’ve seen reports of the coffee produced being too hot or too cold but mine has been perfect for me for each type of drink. Given the many different types of coffee beverages this machine makes with ease, I highly recommend it. In fact, I went to stay with relatives for a month over the holidays and I took the machine with me!”

Customer Review: “I am so impressed and pleased with this machine. I wanted to wait after two months of use before providing my humble input. I was willing to spend up to $1,500 for a new machine, especially since the last one I had was during my early 30’s and things have improved significantly with the new machines. The Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro has high ratings and reviews from Baristas, the price was actually and surprisingly acceptable. I ran the clean cycle at one month, takes 6 minutes and today, month two, I ran the descale function – 90 minutes. The Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro series does both efficiently and not messy, big, big plus. Coffee tastes better after. The machine is built very well, has all the features I was looking for, coffee beans dispenser, grinder, tamper, inside scale, top hot plate, hot water dispenser, milk frother. Keep the machine clean, use fresh beans and enjoy it. Daily, I use the espresso side, while my spouse uses the classic, drip side. We average 3 servings each a day for a total of 6 together. Coffee always tastes great. Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro is perfect for me. I highly recommend it.”

Cons:
  • Does not make true espresso or cappuccino
  • Limited to single-serve sizes
  • Some users report missing paper filters

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This is a well engineered machine. It has storage for its accessories, is very compact, and actually makes coffee at closer to the proper temperature. I measured about 180 degrees whereas my Kurig was 155. This definitely makes for better quality and smoother tasting coffee. This machine does make better coffee than a Kurig machine. However, it Does Not make true espresso or cappuccino. You can come close by using the 4oz feature and the frother works fine, but just don’t expect true espresso shots. Nonetheless, it’s a good compromise. Get the same convenience as a Kurig, but with better tasting coffee approaching coffee shop quality. The regular drip basket (non pod) is a copper filter, so it will not add a metallic taste. It will make up to 24 oz of coffee which is really just two large mugs worth, but it is capable of very strong brew. If you are concerned about microplastics produced by the heat on plastic pods as we are, then use the metal pods available on Amazon with your own brand of coffee and grind your own for the best results.”

Customer Review: “This was the best purchase this year for me! My Keurig was just failing! I hated to let it go, but it was time! I have replaced most of my kitchen items with Ninja products. So I decided to give the coffee maker a try! Wow! The fact that I can choose my strength of my coffee with a coffee pod is amazing! I love rich strong coffee! The Ninja did not disappoint! The temperature is consistent! The size is correct. I can’t tell you why? But this coffee maker uses less water than my Keurig! The frother on the side is great! It does what it is supposed to do! Very handy! It brews a cup in about 2 minutes from hitting the brew button! I really recommend this coffee maker! I look forward to having my 1 cup a day! The smell of the rich coffee brewing smells great and tastes delicious!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I have a love/hate relationship with Ninja products – I really love them. But I strongly dislike the warranty. And I hate the lifespan. Once they are done – they’re done. I have had a couple of Ninja blenders that surpass the crushing and blending power of my 30 year old beehive Oster – but their life expectancy is about five years. This was a very strong consideration in purchasing a $200 coffee maker. I am not a coffee connoisseur – I typically drink one cup daily – very strong with cream only. But it has to be a perfect cup. I want to enjoy every single sip. I found a Ninja coffee system, brand new, at a thrift store locally for $15. The coffee was amazing. Perfect every single time. When my son moved to his own place, I gifted it to him and started researching one for me. Since I am the only coffee drinker in the house now (no, I’m not crying because he’s gone, don’t be silly) I considered a Keurig. But I honestly do not like the quality of the coffee from those machines – have tried several but it is not at all to my liking. However, the amount of wasted coffee I was dealing with really started bothering me and decided I needed an option for one cup. This machine is really perfect. The one cup option that I thought I settled for because it is a K cup option turned out to produce an amazing cup of coffee. I THINK it is because the Ninja makes three holes into the K cup rather than the standard one hole other machines use? It may also be the water temperature gets super hot. I do not know, but I really appreciate the depth of flavor from the K cup option on this machine. Another nice option that I never thought I’d want is the frother. It seems silly to me, but one comment in the Ninja manual stated that a cold cup with cream steals the heat from the coffee and changes the flavor – so I toyed around with the frother, using the microwave for 30 seconds and then blending the coffee and cream – its fantastic. This week I had a fever and opted for tea over coffee – I remembered the hot water option on this machine – it gave me two options – hot water and boil – I selected boil and my tea was steeping in no time at the perfect temperature. I absolutely appreciate that the water runs through a separate dispenser so my tea did not have any coffee residue or discoloration or flavor. I plan now to retire my stand alone boiler. The reservoir on the Ninja is adequate for my one cup daily – it is very easy to remove and fill or even fill while in place – I prefer the side option, but like that it can be attached to the back to save space. I don’t think that would make much difference because this machine is very big – it does not fit under my standard cabinets. I bought this as a birthday gift for myself and if that last son hadn’t left at the same time, I likely wouldn’t have spent that much money on myself – but I was pitiful. I am extremely happy I did because the cost is worth it. I am very hopeful this machine will last past my 5 year expectation. Since I do not purchase coffee daily, I cannot state that I have saved money – I mean, I have because I’m not making half pots just for myself and wasting most of that – but if I were a coffee shop customer, I would absolutely think I’d save money with the frother thing and the quality of the coffee – It is really a great machine and I very highly recommend you purchase it. I was debating between the Keurig Duo Pro and this machine and given the quality of the K cup coffee from this, I haven’t once looked back – there is no way in my mind the Keurig would produce the same quality cup from the K cups. Enjoy”

Customer Review: “Had been a Keurig user for nearly 20 years. This Ninja dual coffee maker is a game changer. Love love love it. Makes a great cup of coffee using either single serve or the carafe. Very easy to operate. Very user friendly. They thought of everything from the strength of the coffee, the easy lift on the water dispenser, the drip shut off so the plate stays clean after you are done brewing, controls that are simple to operate, piping hot coffee, self clean feature. I cannot say enough good things about it. It leaves Keurig in the dust. If you are on the fence, just do it, you won’t regret buying this machine.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I have had multiple Keurigs over the past many years, some very high end ones to the new multi-stream. They all started out good, then end up working poorly and eventually breaking with no clear way on how to fix them. I almost went back to a drip maker because I was fed up with the keurigs. Instead, I did some research and with all the reviews, decided to try this Ninja maker and dang am I impressed. First off it is much more visually appealing than any of the Keurigs, the water tank holds plenty of water so you don’t have to refill constantly. The construction of the thing is very well done, super solid device. The lid and the water tank are very tight, and even though it only uses one hole to punch the K-cup, the coffee is super rich and flavorful, IMO much better than the Keurig models. I like a dark cup and the classic drip is perfect for daily drinking. The strong setting gets the job done when you really need a heavy cup of joe. For the electronics and settings, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact that it remembers your last setting (so does the new Keurig multi stream) but you do NOT have to open the lid or push the power button to cycle the system to complete a tall cup. Just push the brew button again and off it goes, no fuss. It is also a semi-always on tech, meaning, you don’t have to wait for the water to heat before it starts brewing. The mini grounds brew also does an almost perfect job, however, I have only used this twice just to say I had. The internal storage container is a plus since you don’t have to use a drawer in your kitchen to store parts for the Ninja. I almost wish I had bought the frother version, just because I like accessories and it looks really cool. The price was great, keep a look out for sales. I think I got this one for under $100 which you most certainly cannot do if you go Keurig. Overall, I am soooo happy with this product. I recommend it to everyone I know Hope you enjoy your next cup ☕”

Customer Review: “Flavored ground coffee blends gum up the innards of sophisticated, expensive grind/brew/pour espresso and coffee machines. I have a Nespresso machine for wonderful espresso and lungo pours and I have a De’Longhi that grinds and then gives me all kinds of pour choices. But this Fall I wanted pumpkin spice, and some Barnie’s blends and an interesting Mexican chocolate flavored coffee that I found. So I went looking online for a machine–not too expensive, but not too cheap either–that would provide me with the means to make a consistently hot, very rich, cup of flavored coffee with cream, worthy of drinking. I found this machine and I already love it. And it sits nestled between my Nespresso and De’Longhi machines on my coffee bar. In fact–and maybe because it is a novelty for me to be able to have wonderful flavored coffees at my fingertips–I have been using it more often than my other two, more expensive machines. But beware, or be aware: The price you pay for more flavorful coffee, will not be the one-time cost of this machine. It will be the fact that you will go through a bag of ground coffee way quicker than you ever imagined. I accept that. Because this machine makes the best cup of flavored ground coffee that I’ve ever had. This machine covers all the bases: Using the included filter in the brew basket, and with an ample water reservoir (56oz) at its back, it brews whatever ground coffee your heart desires, whatever grind, however much grounds you add to the filter, and however much water you press the button for. It has three lighted buttons for choosing a milder (Classic) or stronger (Rich) or even iced coffee. It makes for almost overwhelming opportunities to get the exact coffee you are looking for. And, hey, if those choices do overwhelm you, you can use the pod adapter in the brew basket and insert any kind of K-cup (not paper though), and just choose the amount of water for a single-serve. (But I don’t use K-cup very often, so my review will not be addressing that feature.) And, the machine senses whether you have the filter or pod adapter in the brew basket and proceeds accordingly. I also have not tried the iced coffee feature. But from witnessing all the different ways this machine can provide you with the perfect strength coffee, I’m positive the iced coffee feature works well. Just use a vessel that can tolerate both hot and cold and fill it with ice, hit the proper button and let the hot coffee trickle into it. From reading reviews and the manuals that come with this machine, I assume that this is a relatively new product for Ninja. The manuals talk of a 4 ounce pour and a frother arm–both of these features are not included on this machine. And that is not an issue for me, the person who already has both of those features on other machines, but it might make a difference to you. So, to be clear this machine does not create froth (from your own heated milk in your own cup, which will be available on another model), nor does it give you the opportunity to make a 4 ounce pour. I’m plenty okay with the 7 choices (of 6 ounces to 24 ounces) of water volumes. As this is a single pour machine, (then clean the grounds out of the filter basket), I will use my own quality carafe if I want to make enough coffee for a few morning cups or if I am entertaining a guest or two. But, and this is a possible fault: 24 ounces only stretches to three 8 ounce cups of coffee or 4 six ounce cups of coffee with cream, for instance. And, I’d like to find a thermal carafe that fits under the spout of this machine. One that has a pour spout and a lid and no handle. Because I’ve been using a double-walled stainless steel travel mug and of course those do not have pour spouts–so it’s a very messy pour from travel mug to coffee cup. The carafe without its lid would need to be no more than 8\” tall and hold at least 26-28 ounces to the rim. I find several on Amazon, but none show the height without the lid. Nor is it obvious if the handle is part of the lid, because I’m thinking a handle would not allow the carafe to fit close enough to the machine’s dispenser. What else I’ve experienced so far: –This machine makes coffee that is plenty hot, so hot that I can only take a tentative sip at first (and that is with cream included.) –It takes longer to brew than a Nespresso machine. It takes less time to brew than a drip machine. And the more water you use, the longer the brewing time. The reason: This machine allows the hot water to sit and stew in the grounds to provide a stronger, richer, flavor. Some quicker machines use pressure to build flavor and richness. But then machines built on the use of pressure do not allow ingredients other than coffee beans, so no flavored coffee grounds. –Brewing is done in stages that appear as lighted bars on top of the machine. It is nice to be able to see the progress. –The cup tray raises and lowers easily to accommodate different size vessels. The coffee does pour rather close to the machine. And the spout does not push in or out. It is a bit restrictive if you use certain uniquely-shaped vessels. –The pod adapter and filter both fit in a storage bin on one side of the machine. –The included spoon hangs from a hook on the other side of the machine. –Speaking of spoons and spoonfuls: You may be surprised how quickly you go through a bag of coffee….. –You will need to make decisions about how much grounds and how much water and what size vessel. You will need to know the volumes of your different cups. Or, if that is something you don’t want to do, use the K-cup feature and you’ll only need to decide on the water amount and the cup size. –Cleaning is relatively easy, just the brew basket and filter or pod adapter. –Descaling is easy too: 16 ounces of white vinegar or a descale solution and water and a 2 quart vessel and push a button. It takes 75 uninterrupted minutes.”

Customer Review: “A great coffeemaker. It does everything you need it to do, works dependably and – most importantly – gets the water hot enough to make actual good coffee. It’s as good as my Melitta pour-over, which I used for years. The water carafe can be a bit awkward to fill all the way, but it doesn’t spill if you use the top to carry it between the sink and the coffeemaker. After we got the right amount of coffee for us (9 scoops, using the measure that comes with the pot) we’ve been set for years. Unless you have truly delicate taste buds – or, more likely, are a complete coffee snob – the Ninja is all you need.”

Customer Review: “I never knew what a difference a coffee maker makes for a good cup of coffee. This coffee maker turns our normal coffee into stellar coffee. Easy to use. Easy to program. Reasonable price. Love the additional features – extended burner time, brew strength options, self clean. Feels like it is made of high quality components. I hope it lasts longer than the other brands we’ve bought. Very pleased with performance so far!”
