Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “My mom always used Mr. Coffee coffee makers, and I’ve used them for nearly all of my adult life as well, because they have always been reliable and reasonably priced. This is neither a coffee press, nor does it use disposable single serve pods. It is a single serve, electric drip coffee maker for grinds, that does exactly what it is suppose to without issue. If you are someone who believes sometimes less is more, this may be for you…. no extra bells or whistles to go wrong. It comes with a reusable filter, which is great from the perspective of less paper waste, but you may still want to use paper filters, depending upon the grind of your coffee. I liked that it came with an easy to use and replace charcoal water filter that is optional to use. I also liked that it came with a double walled cup with lid and straw for iced coffee that fits perfectly. Buying a decent one separately will usually run you at least $8-$10, so it definitely adds value to this coffee maker. The water reservoir is small and non removable, just perfect for one large cup, and easy to get into to clean properly, another plus. Inside the resevoir is a sort of step measure you can use as well. If you like large reservoirs (which can be difficult to clean if built in, or have alignment issues if removable) this won’t be for you. Two buttons, one for hot, one for cold. Hit it once to start, once to turn off, or just wait for it to shut off itself, which it does pretty quickly after it finishes brewing. Not programmable, brews quickly. It has a small profile on the counter top also, making it great for small spaces. Great for single people who just want a freshly brewed cup of cofee when they want it with minimal waste and hassle. The drip pan in the base is easily removable for cleaning and stays in place. There is no base height adjustment, so cup size may help if you have splashing issues, but I had no issue with splashing myself. So far, I’m very happy with it, and given my history with this brand, I fully expect that to remain the case, although I haven’t used this model previously.”

Customer Review: “Great single serve coffee maker. Hot, fast brew. Recommend it.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This works great for me. I like the idea of the central filter. Not sure that’s necessary but it does work well. Simple and easy to use design.I make decaf concentrate because it’s hard to find ready made. I get a high quality, medium-course ground bean. I found soaking around 20 hours gives me the level of flavor I want and not bitter (though quality of beans makes a difference here). I remove the filter core and leave the concentrate in the pitcher and refrigerate. It is less expensive than buying concentrate or coffee shop drink (if you can even find decaf coldbrew) but I wouldn’t say it’s cheap either. The amount of grounds you have to use is more than typical brewing. The amount of concentrate you use will depend on your preference and type of beverage so determining value or cost effectiveness is subjective.I found that making 1 pitcher a week during the summer was just the right amount to treat myself. The pitcher is not big and yet almost too tall for the bottom shelf and doesn’t fit in the door pockets of my fridge. If it was a little shorter and slightly bigger around would be better. I usually just rinsed everything well between brews. The filter is trickier to clean because of its shape but not terrible. I found that if i knock most of the used grounds out and let the remaining dry out it’s a little easier to manage. The filter hasn’t become clogged so far but vinegar and warm soapy water would probably be sufficient. Time will tell if the plastic parts all hold up. The pitcher is that rigid style with no flexibility so could be prone to cracking.I recommend this if you enjoy coldbrew, don’t want to leave home to get it, and want a simple way to soak the grounds.Cheers!”

Customer Review: “This cold brew pitcher set will brew about a quart ()4 cups) of cold brewed coffee, which is loosely similar to making coffee with a French press to make coffee, but instead of using freshly boiled water to extract regular strength coffee from the ground beans in 3-5 minutes, this set produces a strong concentrated coffee over 12-24 hours (depending on how strong a concentrate you want) using room temperature water to slowly extract the coffee from the ground beans. Both methods use coarse to regular ground coffee and it’s highly recommended you use filtered water for both methods because like the quality of the beans and skill of the roasters, it greatly affects the taste of the resulting coffee. The main draw of cold brewed coffee is the smooth flavor the process produces. Even those who seem to only tolerate coffee as a means to wake up or gain extra energy or endurance, For those who drink coffee as a base for other flavors, like vanilla, caramel, etc, tend to love unadorned cold brew. If you like coffee but wish it had a smoother taste, cold brew will likely be the answer. Everything about cold brewed coffee seems to be designed for the utmost convenience: It doesn’t require electricity, so it can be used when traveling or camping, it produces a rich, smooth coffee concentrate that is intended to store in the fridge for several days or a thermos for several hours, and the process uses room temperature water, so there’s no need to have a way to boil water. This particular set is compact, with all of the hardware you need to make and drink your coffee, including a reusable filtering system to produce the strongest, purest coffee. The set includes the picture, a tight fitting lid, a coffee scoop, a cup to hold the dripping filter after the brewing is complete, a filter in the form of a slim cylinder that locks into the lid so that it sits in the center of the pitcher. The filter has a top that fits flush into the top of it. You make a full pitcher of the cold brew by pouring about 4 cups of room temperature, filtered water into the pitcher (there is a maximum fill line printed on the pitcher). Pour 9 scoops of course to medium ground coffee into the filter (the scoop holds 2 tablespoons, so 9 scoops is 1&1/8 cups of coffee.), insert the filter top (which is alto a filter), and then attach the filter to the underside of the lid. This ensures that it stays stationary in the pitcher when it’s full of water. Insert the filter into the pitcher full of water, orienting it so the spout lines up. Set the pitcher out at room temperature for 12-24 hours, depending on how strong you want it to be. I like very strong coffee because I like to nmake iced lattes, which means diluting the coffee with milk, a little cream, and a flavored syrup. I experimented with leaving the cold brew on the counter for 36 hours and it was too strong, even for my milkiest lattes. I decant my cold brew into large thermoses so I can constantly have the cold brew on hand. This already promises to be a hot spring and summer, so this pitcher will get a lot of use. I always hand was everything after I decant the new batch of brew simply because it only takes minutes. However, I believe it’s all dishwasher safe though I’d put the filter on the top rack. I have two more suggestions: investigate local coffee roasters. The absolute best coffee I’ve ever had is from a local brewer. My favorite independent coffee house sells it. It’s a bit pricier than the premium coffees in grocery stores but this is one thing I refuse to go low quality on. I’d rather drink less coffee than pay good money for subpar coffee, Fun fact: The coffee from France is some of the WORST in the world! It’s always been believed to be some of te best, even having a type of roast named after it but this fallacy is likely the result of actual fiction, namely literature and movies. A French prime minister famously said French coffee was donkey pi**! Allegedly, the reason a notoriously proud people put up with such a disgrace is, again allegedly, because the national industry is controlled by a mafia group that no one dares to challenge. Some believe the government is equally afraid of this group while others believe they’re simply well paid to look the other way. Sadly as an American, I can see either reason being equally true. The French citizens usually get their coffee from neighboring Italy or have it shipped in from Africa. Speaking of Italy, if you don’t have a local roaster, try Illy from Italy. Totally worth it. You can get it in most stores now. Some swear by the in store Dunkin Donuts brand of coffee. Second tip: Make/decant your own flavored syrups. Save your wine bottles, make simple syrup, and then add the extract of your choice: vanilla, almond, coconut, rum, then decant (you can purchase packages of pouring spouts online or find them in kitchen stores. You can even make a liquid caramel to use as a syrup. You can find the techniques for everything online. They’re all dead simple! Cheers!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I have had multiple Keurigs over the past many years, some very high end ones to the new multi-stream. They all started out good, then end up working poorly and eventually breaking with no clear way on how to fix them. I almost went back to a drip maker because I was fed up with the keurigs. Instead, I did some research and with all the reviews, decided to try this Ninja maker and dang am I impressed.First off it is much more visually appealing than any of the Keurigs, the water tank holds plenty of water so you don’t have to refill constantly. The construction of the thing is very well done, super solid device. The lid and the water tank are very tight, and even though it only uses one hole to punch the K-cup, the coffee is super rich and flavorful, IMO much better than the Keurig models. I like a dark cup and the classic drip is perfect for daily drinking. The strong setting gets the job done when you really need a heavy cup of joe. For the electronics and settings, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact that it remembers your last setting (so does the new Keurig multi stream) but you do NOT have to open the lid or push the power button to cycle the system to complete a tall cup. Just push the brew button again and off it goes, no fuss. It is also a semi-always on tech, meaning, you don’t have to wait for the water to heat before it starts brewing. The mini grounds brew also does an almost perfect job, however, I have only used this twice just to say I had.The internal storage container is a plus since you don’t have to use a drawer in your kitchen to store parts for the Ninja. I almost wish I had bought the frother version, just because I like accessories and it looks really cool. The price was great, keep a look out for sales. I think I got this one for under $100 which you most certainly cannot do if you go Keurig.Overall, I am soooo happy with this product. I recommend it to everyone I knowHope you enjoy your next cup ☕”

Customer Review: “Flavored ground coffee blends gum up the innards of sophisticated, expensive grind/brew/pour espresso and coffee machines. I have a Nespresso machine for wonderful espresso and lungo pours and I have a De’Longhi that grinds and then gives me all kinds of pour choices. But this Fall I wanted pumpkin spice, and some Barnie’s blends and an interesting Mexican chocolate flavored coffee that I found. So I went looking online for a machine–not too expensive, but not too cheap either–that would provide me with the means to make a consistently hot, very rich, cup of flavored coffee with cream, worthy of drinking.I found this machine and I already love it. And it sits nestled between my Nespresso and De’Longhi machines on my coffee bar. In fact–and maybe because it is a novelty for me to be able to have wonderful flavored coffees at my fingertips–I have been using it more often than my other two, more expensive machines. But beware, or be aware: The price you pay for more flavorful coffee, will not be the one-time cost of this machine. It will be the fact that you will go through a bag of ground coffee way quicker than you ever imagined. I accept that. Because this machine makes the best cup of flavored ground coffee that I’ve ever had. This machine covers all the bases: Using the included filter in the brew basket, and with an ample water reservoir (56oz) at its back, it brews whatever ground coffee your heart desires, whatever grind, however much grounds you add to the filter, and however much water you press the button for. It has three lighted buttons for choosing a milder (Classic) or stronger (Rich) or even iced coffee. It makes for almost overwhelming opportunities to get the exact coffee you are looking for. And, hey, if those choices do overwhelm you, you can use the pod adapter in the brew basket and insert any kind of K-cup (not paper though), and just choose the amount of water for a single-serve. (But I don’t use K-cup very often, so my review will not be addressing that feature.) And, the machine senses whether you have the filter or pod adapter in the brew basket and proceeds accordingly.I also have not tried the iced coffee feature. But from witnessing all the different ways this machine can provide you with the perfect strength coffee, I’m positive the iced coffee feature works well. Just use a vessel that can tolerate both hot and cold and fill it with ice, hit the proper button and let the hot coffee trickle into it.From reading reviews and the manuals that come with this machine, I assume that this is a relatively new product for Ninja. The manuals talk of a 4 ounce pour and a frother arm–both of these features are not included on this machine. And that is not an issue for me, the person who already has both of those features on other machines, but it might make a difference to you. So, to be clear this machine does not create froth (from your own heated milk in your own cup, which will be available on another model), nor does it give you the opportunity to make a 4 ounce pour.I am plenty okay with the 7 choices (of 6 ounces to 24 ounces) of water volumes. As this is a single pour machine, (then clean the grounds out of the filter basket), I will use my own quality carafe if I want to make enough coffee for a few morning cups or if I am entertaining a guest or two. But, and this is a possible fault: 24 ounces only stretches to three 8 ounce cups of coffee or 4 six ounce cups of coffee with cream, for instance. And, I’m adding this to my original review: I’d like to find a thermal carafe that fits under the spout of this machine. One that has a pour spout and a lid and no handle. Because I’ve been using a double-walled stainless steel travel mug and of course those do not have pour spouts–so it’s a very messy pour from travel mug to coffee cup. The carafe without its lid would need to be no more than 8″ tall and hold at least 26-28 ounces to the rim. I find several on Amazon, but none show the height without the lid. Nor is it obvious if the handle is part of the lid, because I’m thinking a handle would not allow the carafe to fit close enough to the machine’s dispenser. What else I’ve experienced so far:–This machine makes coffee that is plenty hot, so hot that I can only take a tentative sip at first (and that is with cream included.)–It takes longer to brew than a Nespresso machine. It takes less time to brew than a drip machine. And the more water you use, the longer the brewing time. The reason: This machine allows the hot water to sit and stew in the grounds to provide a stronger, richer, flavor. Some quicker machines use pressure to build flavor and richness. But then machines built on the use of pressure do not allow ingredients other than coffee beans, so no flavored coffee grounds.–Brewing is done in stages that appear as lighted bars on top of the machine. It is nice to be able to see the progress.–The cup tray raises and lowers easily to accommodate different size vessels. The coffee does pour rather close to the machine. And the spout does not push in or out. It is a bit restrictive if you use certain uniquely-shaped vessels.–The pod adapter and filter both fit in a storage bin on one side of the machine.–The included spoon hangs from a hook on the other side of the machine.–Speaking of spoons and spoonfuls: You may be surprised how quickly you go through a bag of coffee…..–You will need to make decisions about how much grounds and how much water and what size vessel. You will need to know the volumes of your different cups. Or, if that is something you don’t want to do, use the K-cup feature and you’ll only need to decide on the water amount and the cup size.–Cleaning is relatively easy, just the brew basket and filter or pod adapter.–Descaling is easy too: 16 ounces of white vinegar or a descale solution and water and a 2 quart vessel and push a button. It takes 75 uninterrupted minutes.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I received this product within time allotted in ad. No problem with the charge. It was packed very well and my cold brew pot was received intact and undamaged. This cold pot holds six cups of water as listed . I usually put two tablespoons of coffee in per cup of water and the coffee ground container holds that well. I thought the taste of the coffee was pretty good between 12 and 24 hours of brew time. The pot is so easy to clean I have it done in about 3 minutes. I love love my cold brew pot. It makes my day fast easy and mess free. Thank you so much. This product is very good quality very good value five star thank you”

Customer Review: “I don’t get the negative reviews – I LOVE this for making cold brew coffee. My tips:1. If it is taking you FOREVER to get the water to initially seep through the coffee into the pot, then you are most likely using coffee grounds that are TOO FINE for cold brew! You want to use a COURSE GROUND coffee! I really like the Bizzy Cold Brew Smooth and Sweet coffee. Don’t be misled by its name – it has NO sweetener added to it – the name just refers to the coffee’s flavor profile…2. Even though this pot says that its parts are dishwasher-safe – HAND WASH everything. All parts wash quickly with warm water and a little dawn dish soap!3. To make the coffee, I put the grounds into the filter area in the pot, add room temperature water, put the lid on and let it sit on the counter for about 5-6 hours. I take a table knife from my silverware drawer and stir the grounds around (within their filter area) a couple times during this initial 5-6 hour soak. Then, put the pot into the frig and let it soak there overnight. After about 8-9 hours in the frig I take it out, stir the grounds around again with the table knife (within the filter area), let it sit for a few minutes and then lift up the filter. Hold the filter over the coffee, tilting it a little to let as much liquid as possible drip out from the filter into the coffee. I think I tilt the filter and balance it against the pot over the coffee to let it drip that way for about 5 minutes…. Then take the filter all the way out. I dump the grounds onto a plastic tray and let them dry out – then give them to a gardener!.4. As soon as you have dumped the grounds out of the filter, unscrew the bottom cap and rinse out the filter! Then rub a couple drops (you don’t need much) of dawn blue dish liquid between your thumb and index finger and then use those fingers to rub the soap all around on the filter – inside and out. This takes only a minute or two and gets it totally clean! Rinse well and let it dry…. It gets totally clean this way with no staining!.5. I immediately transfer the coffee out of this pot into a borosilicate glass pitcher for storing in the frig. Then, HAND WASH this blue pot, with just a couple drops of dawn dish detergent. It only takes another minute to wash, rinse and invert to dry. Easy, totally clean and ready for the next use when the coffee starts to run low.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This is a great product and has saved me a ton of money. I love being able to brew my own iced tea and not having to buy bottled tea anymore. I just brew a batch refrigerate then pour it in my swell bottle. So I am saving money and the environment. The only thing negative I have to say about the brewer is the flip up top where you put the water and tea warps a little and doesn’t seat well after it first heats up. I fixed it by putting a rubber band around the top to hold it down while brewing. The manufacturer should come up with a more permanent fix. Still I give it a 9 out of 10”

Customer Review: “We looked for a long time to find a good ice tea maker after ours died. Found this one, love it. Bonus it makes ice coffee too.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This coffee pot is the best one I’ve had in a long time. You can brew any size pot you want or just one cup up to 14 oz. Put in water, put in grounds and turn it on…super simple. It doesn’t do pods, but that’s ok by me because they are too expensive for me anyway. The pot is programmable to have coffee ready when you wake up. It has a sensor so that if you need a cup before the pot is done brewing you can remove the pot to poor a cup and it stops and doesn’t drip on the warming plate. I have not had to clean up coffee that ended up somewhere other than the pot or the cup and best part, no grounds in the pot or the cup. I am a happy customer. It was 69.99 which I think is a great value for the price compared to other coffee makers. I highly recommend.”

Customer Review: “I bought this for my mom, who has never had a single cup coffee maker. She absolutely loves the ability to make a pot every morning and having a quick cup to go when she goes out in the afternoon. The one cup and the carafe use a metal filter so she can use the same coffee for both. That saves her from spending money on pods and removes the waste that comes with it. It is no bigger than her last pot, and brews a great cup of coffee. She was excited to report that she was able to set it up on her own and got it brewing without any problems.”

Complete Buying Guide for Single Serve Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a single serve cold brew coffee maker, it’s important to think about how you brew and drink coffee. Key factors include brewing speed, ease of use, durability, filter type, and capacity. Consider whether you want an electric model for quick brewing or a manual one for slower, more traditional steeping. Also, check if the machine supports your preferred coffee type — grounds, pods, or both. Features like adjustable strength and included cups or tumblers can enhance your experience.

Budget Planning

Prices for single serve cold brew coffee makers vary widely. Budget-friendly options often offer manual brewing with reusable filters, while pricier electric models provide faster results and additional features like strength control or integrated tumblers. Decide how much you’re willing to spend based on how often you’ll use it and the features that matter most to you. Remember, investing in a quality machine can save money over buying cold brew from cafes regularly.

Final Thoughts

Finding the right single serve cold brew coffee maker depends on your lifestyle, taste preferences, and budget. Whether you want a quick electric brewer or a slow-steep glass carafe, there’s an option for you. Pay attention to ease of cleaning and durability to ensure your coffee maker lasts. With the right choice, you can enjoy smooth, refreshing cold brew at home anytime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does it take to brew cold brew coffee with these makers?

A: Brewing time varies by model. Manual cold brew makers typically require 12-24 hours of steeping, while electric single serve machines can brew cold brew in minutes.

Q: Can I use regular coffee grounds for cold brew?

A: It’s best to use coarsely ground coffee for cold brew to avoid over-extraction and clogging filters. Fine grounds may cause bitterness and are harder to filter.

Q: Are single serve cold brew coffee makers easy to clean?

A: Most models come with reusable filters and removable parts designed for easy cleaning. Glass carafes and stainless steel components tend to be easier to maintain.

Q: Can I brew hot coffee with these machines?
