Customer Review: “I don’t ask much from a travel mug, just that it keep my coffee hot and doesn’t leak. I asked this coffee cup to prove itself on both counts. It didn’t let me down.I wanted to see how long it would take my freshly brewed coffee to become unpalatable. Coffee brews at 195-205 degrees, so that was my starting temperature. Consumer studies have found that most people prefer to drink coffee between 130-160 degrees, so that was my target temperature.I heated water to 195 degrees and filled the cup, leaving an inch of space for the top. After 90 minutes, the water was 169 degrees. After 2 hours, it was 159 degrees. After 3 hours, the water was 146̊, perfectly drinkable if it had been coffee. I stopped there. I have no doubt the cup would have gone well past the 4 hour mark and still been drinkable.To check for leaks, I filled it with room temperature water and tightened the lid a normal amount. I laid the cup on its side on a sheet tray to catch any leakage and checked it periodically. After 2 hours, no leaks. Still no leaks after 3, 4, and 5 hours. An O-ring seals the lid to the cup, and another seals the push button. As long as the button is not pressed, this cup will not leak.Operation is a simple push-button in the middle of the lid. The button does not require a lot of force to push, so one-handed operation is easy. That’s a bit of a double-edged sword, though. There is no way to lock the button to prevent accidental presses. Be careful putting this cup in a bag where something could press against the button accidentally.This is a nice cup. It does a great job of keeping coffee hot, and it doesn’t leak if it tips over. I like the non-skid bottom, the stainless steel interior, and the top that comes apart for cleaning. The logo is small and discreet. This cup has a lot of features going for it, and it looks nice, too. I’m going to use it a lot.”

So for years now, I’ve taken three cups with me to work so I can have a few hrs worth of delicious coffee goodness. Throughout all those years, I’ve had many-a-cup. Some haven’t fit in cup holders, others haven’t had good seals or simply wouldn’t keep the coffee hot for more than a couple hours. I even had cups with lids that randomly popped off creating a wicked hot mess (literally), which can ruin an early morning in a hurry. These cups, however, will forever hold a special place in my heart…I’ve had two of these for nearly three years after receiving them as a gift (Sept 2020) and recently bought two more about a month ago (May 2023). Those first two have been through many hardships as my daily drinker over such a long period of time. I once dropped a full cup out of a large forklift at top speed (like 13mph) onto asphalt from about 6′ high. Once I noticed and later found it after a few hours, the cup was fine, the lid was tight, and the coffee was still hot! I was so excited that I told everyone at work about my amazing indestructible cup as they stared at me with a complete lack of interest 😁 It had a few scratches from the fall, but that was to be expected. If possible, avoid throwing it out of a moving vehicle. Although mine was fine, it’s probably not designed to survive such extreme impacts.A huge benefit to me, although a minor detail and certainly not important to everyone, is the cup having a handle. Excellent for carrying (obviously) and I’m able to hook it into my pocket when I have to carry other things or use both hands for some reason. Makes it exceptionally convenient and now I can’t imagine going back to a handleless cup. I can shake it up to mix the coffee, sugar, and cream (and sometimes chocolate syrup 😋) together without any spillage and they fit in all the cupholders in my life without an issue. Customer Review: “I finally found a real leakproof tumbler! It’s LEAKPROOF, LEAKPROOF, LEAKPROOF!!!! Over the years I’ve bought A LOT of tumblers and none of those leakproof tumblers were actually leakproof. It’s absurd, I know. I’ve used this a few times, carrying both hot and cold liquids, and it worked perfectly! My drinks were still hot (and cold) after 12 hours (instead of the 7 hours it advertised, which is great). The pink color is the same as what you see here. (IMO part of the appeal of the Stanley cups is they have many very pretty pastel colors. I love that Thermos now have some of those colors instead of the usual black and white and silver) The opening is wider than the previous ones so it is easier to wash it by hand. The lid might still be a little too difficult to clean. It is black and if you use the tumbler mostly for coffee, you might not see the coffee stains easily. But if it’s in other colors such as white you can definitely see. That said, it’s still better. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with this one. It’s a bit more expensive than the other Thermos tumblers out there but it’s worth it.[Edited to add] After using it for 1.5 years, my tumbler broke! I didn’t see the crack, although it was likely at the bottom because my coffee was seeping through. I was not at home so I didn’t examine it. But I’d been tossing it around in my backpack and I dropped it multiple times. The multiple drops left some indentations at the bottom. The plastic rim of the lid wore off. I guess partly because I only cleaned it occasionally—if I use it for coffee the day before and today I am using it again, I will skip washing it, lol. The plastic might have lasted longer if I cleaned it after every use. I just bought my second one, also in pink! I hope this one will last longer than 1.5 years.”
