Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I recently got my hands on this cold brew coffee maker, and it’s quickly become my go-to for making smooth, refreshing cold brew at home. The design is simple yet effective—no complicated parts, just a sturdy glass or plastic carafe and a mesh filter that does the job perfectly. The process is incredibly easy: just add coarsely ground coffee, fill the carafe with water, and let it steep overnight. In the morning, you have a delicious, smooth coffee concentrate that’s not too bitter or acidic, just perfectly chilled and ready to enjoy. I love how customizable the strength of the brew can be, depending on how much coffee and water you use. Cleanup is easy too, with just a quick rinse of the filter. The brew time may take longer compared to hot coffee, but the taste is worth it, and it’s so convenient to have ready-to-go cold brew at home whenever I want it. If you’re a fan of cold brew and prefer making it at home, this coffee maker is definitely a game changer. It’s affordable, efficient, and produces great-tasting coffee every time.

Make sure your lid is on tight, I dropped my first one and shattered it because of that error. Makes perfect coffee and never had any issues with mold around the lid.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I’ve had and used several times a week for 4.5 years. This is just an outstanding little set up. Easy to use and easy to clean (as long as you don’t let the coffee grinds dry in the filter). Really durable, great buy that makes excellent cold brew.
Customer Review: So I love tea, but I hate being warm. I’ve had a bunch of loose leaf tea just sitting in my cupboard throughout Summer because I didn’t want to drink something warm when it was already too hot in our house. From the first time I used this it immediately became a “why didn’t I buy this sooner?” kind of thing. Now I always have tea either steeping or ready to drink. I’ve used it with both green and black teas, which have both been fantastic. Going to try a herbal chai tea next. The tea tastes perfect, exactly as it does with a perfectly steeped hot tea, but with cold brewing it somehow doesn’t get bitter when you leave the tea in too long, it stays perfect, so it’s even easier than brewing hot. And I get four large cups out of this, instead of 2 with my kettle. Went with Takeya specifically because I use one of their metal insulated water bottles daily, and love it. Same quality here. I kinda wish it was glass instead of plastic, but at least if I drop this it isn’t going to shatter on my feet. Drawbacks? If I’m being hyper-nitpicky, the way that the filter threads into the lid is kinda tricky. I usually have to try two or three times to get the threads lined up right. Can’t recommend this enough. One of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon in a long time.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I felt like this product deserved one. This is an excellent cold brew maker. It is very easy to use and has a great 1,200 mL capacity. The plastic construction is more versatile (less fragile) than other brewers made from glass. The filtration system eliminates the sludge that other brew systems leave. The packaging is very thoughtful – a scoop and sponge are included. The scoop is easily overlooked, but it is the perfect size to clean the used grounds out of the filter. The sponge is an unexpectedly useful form factor to help with cleaning. Hopefully the sponges can be ordered separately, since sponges don’t last forever. Some minor downsides: Cleaning is moderately easy, but the only component that is recommended for the dishwasher is the pitcher (which is also easiest to clean by hand). All of the other elements are recommended for hand washing, which doesn’t take long. The way the filter is configured, the pitcher will work most effectively if stored (at least for part of the brew cycle) on its side. However, there is a vent in the lid that is prone to leaking when the pitcher is stored on its side. Brewing upright can lead to the top grounds not getting exposed to water. Unfortunately, one of the pieces broke during routine use after a couple of months: the pitcher lid is attached with a couple of hinges that snap the lid into place on the pitcher. One of the hinge attachments broke. I contacted customer service and a replacement pitcher arrived four days later. I’d recommend being careful with these hinge attachments as they seem prone to break. At the same time, the customer service is very responsive and suggests that they take support of their products seriously.
Customer Review: I’ve tried making cold brew a couple different ways, most recently with Ball jars and a metal filter. This Maestri brewer does a better job than other methods I’ve tried. No coffee ground sludge in the bottom, easy to clean grounds out of the filter, and easy to pour liquid out of the pitcher without removing the filter / grounds. The brew is pretty strong and tastes great. I have found that sometimes air gets trapped in the pitcher when I’m filling it, and that can affect the brewing slightly. When this happens, the coffee grounds don’t seem to get fully saturated right away, so the brewing time takes longer. 24 hours of brew time seems to be the sweet spot for my taste preference, which is strong.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: It’s a great product. Simple well built easy to use. I’ve only used it twice. First I tasted the coffee at different times: four hours, 6, 8, 12, 24. To see the difference that made. I didn’t like any of it. In fact I couldn’t drink it and threw it all out. Not the coffee maker’s fault. I just don’t like cold brew. It even makes me feel sick. I drink decaf for the flavor of it. I like a deep rich coffee flavor. I like a medium roast sweet coffee bean espresso. Cold brew just doesn’t taste anything like that. It has its own taste which is very mild and smooth or flavorless depending on your attitude. But it does extract more caffeine from the beans even my decaf beans made coffee too caffeinated for me. It also extracted some other stuff from the beans my espresso maker doesn’t having a totally different effect on that I didn’t like. I recommend trying cold brew before getting into making it yourself but my coffee shop doesn’t have decaf cold brew so I had to buy this to see for myself. If you like cold brew this is a great way to go. Aside from changing the time of the brew you can play around with adding paper filters inside the metal filter or filtering the coffee after it’s done but I didn’t mind the slight sludge on the bottom of my coffee cup. So the machine is simple easy to use works well easy to clean. Great if you like cold brew but it’s a completely different type of coffee.
Customer Review: I love this. It is not like pressing a button and coffee comes out, but cold brewing coffee is a bit of a process and should be, because it needs to sit for 12-24 hours. It is pretty easy to clean, simple to use, and the glass jar washes easily and does not stain. Coffee stains like a b….

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: For the amount of coffee beans I dump into my percolator to make one cup of strong coffee, I thought I would be better off making cold brew and squeezing every last drop of caffeine out of my beans. This pitcher is functional, easy to clean, screw together, and has the little measuring tick marks on the side. For $20 it’s a great deal. I’m now enamored with the whole mason jar thing and it’s appealing to have a giant mason jar pitcher. Also the plastic lid screws on tight, my arms being stronger than some, so I had to be careful not to screw it on tighter. It’s a 64oz mason jar, but with the filter filled with 8oz of ground coffee it’s slightly less. The instructions say to use 8oz of coffee grounds with 64oz water, I didn’t come up with that myself. Also, you have to grind your own beans: the pre-ground beans from the store are too fine and seeped out of my metal tea strainers that I already had from a different brand/appliance. I didn’t experiment with putting store bought grounds in this strainer, no desire to potentially drink coffee with fine grounds in it. So in addition to this pitcher I ended up buying a Black&Decker basic coffee grinder, to get coarse grinds. I also labeled the lid with the date/time my 24-hour batch would be ready, with a red wax pencil. you can use masking tape or whatever, sharpie washes off plastic with dish soap sometimes. Overall this is a decent pitcher for making your own cold brew coffee.
Customer Review: Why pay high prices for coffee shop cold brew when you can easily make your own at home? This cold brew coffee maker is simply amazing! It’s super easy to use, easy to clean, and delivers great taste and convenience at a fraction of the cost. The 64oz glass jar is sturdy and well-made, and the stainless steel filter works perfectly. It’s also fun to use with family — everyone can craft their own unique blend of decaf or caffeinated cold brew to suit their taste. Choosing the right coffee beans makes all the difference! Highly recommended — great price, excellent build quality, and a must-have for any coffee lover.

Cons:
- Glass carafes can be fragile
- Lid seal could be improved for better leak prevention
- Plastic spout may feel flimsy over time
Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This cold brew kit is almost perfect! It gets the job done, and the dual stainless steel filter is perfectly engineered to remove sediment from the brew. Pros: Carafes are compact, stainless steel filter leaves no residue in the coffee, spout pours without dripping coffee down the side, brews strong concentrate so I can make a proper iced latte, easy to clean in the dishwasher, relatively decent cost for the kit ($50), easy to follow marks on the filter and carafe. Cons: Carafes are fragile: I purchased 32oz Mason Jar Neoprene Sleeves to protect the glass, which fit perfectly! Top plastic lid is not very secure. I’ve accidentally spun off the lid while picking it up multiple times. It would be nice if the lids had a better seal to prevent this. I wish there were a better seal between the silicone spout and the plastic lid so coffee doesn’t leak if tipped. Silicone pour spout is quite flimsy, and I’m worried it won’t hold up very long.
Customer Review: Wow. This is a great way to make cold brew coffee with absolutely no residue. Put the ground coffee into the carafe with the filter, fill with cold water up to the MAX line on the carafe. Put the cover on and stick it in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours. When you are ready to drink the coffee the fine mesh filter lifts out easily. Rinse it out and put it in the other carafe, fill with ground coffee and water etc. So there is always fresh cold brew in one carafe while the next batch is cold brewing in the refrigerator in the second carafe. Easy and economical.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I didn’t know how much I needed one of these cold brew containers in my life 🤣 makes my mornings so much more enjoyable and hassle free, I just grab this from the fridge, pour, add my creamer! The way it’s designed the quality of the coffee comes out tasting more than bold and delicious! You just press the filter down and when you pour it ensures you don’t get grounds in your cup. Extremely durable and leak proof, I tested the theory just to make sure I don’t get any surprises when handling it, the lid locks in place so by turning it so when you pour it doesn’t leak or fall off. Very compact but enough volume to have coffee saved up for days if you use an average 12oz cup! Extremely well worth it.
Customer Review: It was quite different and quite easy to use. I love cold brew and this was so good!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Over the last three years, I have been experimenting with all sorts of different coffee brewing methods in an attempt to find one that met the list of things I wanted from a coffee maker. It has to be easy. I do not mind grinding my beans as I can see a definite improvement in the quality of the finished product with that… Along came this lil number. I have a few Hario kitchen gadgets already, so I was familiar with the brand and their quality. The 80 grams of ground coffee for a liter of returned concentrate seemed high at first. But man with a 24-hour brew in the fridge, this concentrate is strong. Like I tried drinking an espresso cup of it with a teaspoon of sugar straight, and after a while, I felt I could see through time. 1 to 1 water to concentrate is plenty strong for most folks iced coffee. Maybe a bit stronger for a drink with creamer and sugars. My go-to summertime drink is.
Customer Review: This is my review of the Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Pot Cold Brew Coffee Maker. This simple cold-brew coffee maker is an excellent addition to my coffee addiction. Do you go to the coffee shops and find that their ice coffee is too weak for your liking? I know I did and if they are using hot coffee and trying to cool it down once ordered, it will never be good. This is a super economical coffee maker, but the amount of coffee it uses is more than one might expect. That does not matter that much for me because this brewer makes the best cold-brew coffee that I have had anywhere. The big plus is that I get to choose the beans and water to use. Of course, you should never use tap water for your coffee, use purified, filtered water. The coffee beans that I have been using for more than a decade now are the organic, fair-trade coffee beans that Sprouts sells. The trick to making powerfully strong, super-tasty coffee is to spend a little time preparing it. Once the grinds are loaded into the filter, slowly drip a few drops of water in at a time. You want the coffee to saturate before dripping to the bottom of the flask. As you are able to add a little more water at a time, the coffee turns into a mud. When this happens use a butter knife and gently stir and move the mud around. Be careful not to over-fill it! With good, strong beans the first tall glass of delicious coffee could be filled within eight hours or so after being in the frig. Once you have poured a glass, slowly refill the coffee maker again to the top with water. Give it a few more hours and again, another great glass full. I do this three or four times. This device uses a lot of coffee, so there is a lot that can be made with it if you play with it a little. For mine, I pour a little heavy whipping cream into the glass first and a milky froth comes to the top. It is so tasty and rich, you just want to sip it. Another thing for me personally, I do not add ice as I hate how it slowly dilutes the coffee. Oh yeah, once I am done with the grinds, my sister uses them in her electric ice coffee maker and she said it is still strong coffee!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I’m obsessed with this cold brew pitcher. It’s the mason jar style with a stainless steel mesh strainer for the coffee, and it’s super easy to use and clean. I bought Starbucks ground coffee from Costco and it tastes exactly like Starbucks cold brew—smooth, rich, and way cheaper than buying it every day. It arrived packaged really well, which I appreciated since it’s glass. I was a little nervous about it breaking during shipping, but it showed up perfect. Highly recommend if you want café-quality cold brew at home.
Customer Review: I purchased this for brewing loose leaf, iced tea. It has exceeded my expectations, this is a high quality product. The wide-mouthed glass jar is made from thick tempered glass, designed to handle boiling hot water being poured into it. The inner filter is sturdy metal, wide mouthed, and easy to fill and clean. The top is made from a heavy-duty plastic, with a pour spout (& lid) and large oversized handle that doesn’t bend or wobble under the weight of a full container.

Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing a Viante Cold Brew Coffee Maker, look for features like filter quality, material durability, capacity, and ease of use.
