Plus, it was messy. This French press is so nice and clean compared to that machine. So sleek and beautiful.Also, it was made of plastic. The last thing you should do to plastic that you’re exposing your food or drinks to, is to heat it up. This releases the toxins in the plastics. So, I was exposing myself to a lot of plastic every time I used it. When I was shopping for a French press, I wanted a small one. At first, I wanted a glass one due to their looks. But the glass ones that were small all seemed to have plastic incorporated into the lids. So switched to stainless steel and I’m glad I did.I wish I had boughten one years ago. But I love that I have one now.

Customer Review: I’ve had several French presses. All glass except the one for camping. This thing blows all the others out of the water, its bulky like very sturdy, I’ve used it one time. The coffee is clean. As in no grounds in it like some of the other French presses do. I put boiling water in it and boom 10 mins later the bottom warm to the touch. I have no worries of it burning the kitchen counters or the wood table. I can honestly say the old 20 year old camping French press is probably retired after this. Oh yeah the best part. It looks so cool and stylish..

I bought one for the farm. I had a pour over there, but that coffee is too weak for me now.I have a grinder for whole beans. You can buy ground coffee, but fine grounds will leak past the filter. Grinding beans extra coarse solves that problem, if you think it is a problem (I don’t taste any difference).

Customer Review: I love this french press. I was previously using a glass one. I don’t have a dishwasher and well water is used for dish washing. Therefore, the glass always seemed to be a bit cloudy. I had to fill it with vinegar to get it clear. The Stainless is much easier to clean and the coffee oil/residue doesn’t seem to bind as much (this could be my imagination). At any rate, it is easy to use, extremely attractive and cleans up quickly and thoroughly. I would definitely purchase this again if anything happens to this one, as long as it lasts me at least a few years. But, I expect it will last much longer than that. It’s very sturdy and the extra screens will be handy in the future.

I even had an insulated one that I’ve used for a few years.I got this one yesterday to replace that one as it broke. This is very nice looking. Feels quality. I had my first cup of coffee and it was as expected…hot and delicious. I had my second cup an hour later and steam rose as I poured. The coffee was still a great temperature! This was not the case with my previous insulated french press.I am so thankful I got this one. I know. It’s only my first use, but there’s not much that can happen with a french press. If it does, I’ll amend this review.
